Is there any actual reason as to why DLC doesn't transfer cross platform? If it's tied to the account it should be available where I play on that account right?
Instead of locking me out of content I have bought on steam whenever I use my Xbox should I not be able to play the content I have purchased?
I'm curious to know if there is any potential of removing the pay wall making players buy dlc multiple times and becoming a fully cross platform game because it could really help the over all quality of life for the game.

Why would you think you could play paid content on another platform without paying for it? You would have ask the platforms that sell the game and dlc if there's a chance of getting stuff for free. However, I doubt companies can survive by giving away things.
