Haven't touched the multiplayer yet, but I had a lot of fun with it when I played it at the Eurogamer Expo. As for the campaign, it was just about enjoyable; gameplay was pretty bland for the most part, and it's glitchy as -blam!-, but most of the plot, writing and fan service is pretty good. Graphics also vary from half-decent to shockingly bad.

The campaign is really lame in my opinion. The marines which are one of the main focuses of the game, SUCK! The characters in which they try to make you care for have literally no development and are some of the worst teammates you can ever have lmao. Nothing really felt like you were fighting the Xenomorphs we all know and love because the AI is stupid as hell and all they do is rush you like morons (or the opposite in which case you can easily gun them down because their movements are so uncoordinated). Or even worse, get stuck in certain areas of the level and just sit there waiting to be blown away because they can't move. Hell I saw a video somewhere where some guy rushed the entire level without firing a single bullet because the enemies are incapable of actually killing your ass! Now the scenery would look great if you can get passed all the fugly textures (recommended you get this on the PC if you can and mostly avoid this). There are actually a few times where this game actually have me on the edge of my seat in suspense because the atmosphere really added to the situation at hand and I won't spoil them if you are planning to get this game. But they are there for maybe a good ten minutes and then you are thrown back into the garbage that I stated was killing this game for me. I also just love the shit twist they throw near the end of the game, but if you're like me you won't really give a damn because you just want this game to be over already. As for multiplayer, that could be fun for you, I think you might want to take some else's opinion on that because I only played it for a hour or so and I'm planning on playing more later because I can see this potentially being the only saving point for this game. I really wished this game was what all Alien fans wanted, and of course that could be subjective to some people but come on man, this game could have been so much more than what it is. It baffles me that this a true sequel to Aliens from a company that didn't really give a shit about despite what they have said in interviews and such. Basically OP if you have seen any of the videos that were released back in like 2011-mid 2012, don't even bother getting hyped up for those moments because they either have been extremely altered to the point where they are almost unrecognizable, or to make things more problematic, THEY AREN'T EVEN IN THE -blam!-ING GAME! I think this warrants enough for one post because I feel like I'm dragging this on and I could probably say a whole lot more on how this game fails. If you want my advice OP, rent it to see if you like it or if you actually read this entire thing and feel like this is a miss then just don't buy it period. [b]TL;DR[/b]: This game fails on story and the multiplayer might be it's saving grace but I doubt it.

Multiplayer was fun back in October, but I haven't had a chance to play it since then.

Being an aliens fan, I found the level of detail in the campaign to impressive. But the game felt old, except for the aim with left trigger stuff. It's a very basic shooter, grenades are their own weapon that you need to switch to in order to use. The AI are very basic, they are about as intelligent as Mine craft's. (see, move towards, and strike once in melee range) they tend to be oblivious to basic obstacles and try to strike through walls or run strait into boxes. Loadouts in multiplayer feel like minor querks, rather than defining aspects of gameplay. A player with the basic starter stuff will appear to have no difference than to one with specialized gear.

Its alright, not the game we thought it was but also not a 2/10. 6/10 needs polish.
