Old as in games that aren't current generation. I've been meaning to buy some gameboy and original xbox games but I have yet to find the ones that I want for a reasonable price >__>
Anyways itt
> games you've bought and preferred retro console
> how often you buy goodies
> why you do, be it collecting, nostalgia or fun!

I buy older games if I feel the need to experience them and I have a means to experience them. Take Halo 2 which I finally bought a couple of weeks ago. I play it on the Xbox360 (since it works) and am having a blast replaying it.

Interesting topic. I never sell or trade-in any of my games anymore for exactly this reason. If I get nostalgic and want to play Halo 2 on my original Xbox with the Duke controller, I like that I only need to go plug in the system and do so. Just this year, I broke out the N64 and played Mario Kart 64 multiplayer. Even though you can play the downloadable version on the Wii, there's nothing like the real deal. The one exception I make is for remakes. I don't mind re-buying updated versions of older games (especially with achievements or trophies added). I'm definitely going to buy Ducktales on launch day, because I loved the NES verison. Speaking of that system, my little sister has been "borrowing" my NES and all of my games since 1993. I have about 400 of them. Instead of shopping for replacements, someday I plan to go borrow them back. Maybe I can charge her blockbuster late fees.

I have no stores near me that sell old games. The oldest I can find is PlayStation 2 games. :(

like every day, I'm making a collection of every game ever made. Currently up to 6238 games :)

Rarely, usually only if I'm buying retro games that are significantly cheaper to buy used compared to new. One thing I never do is sell my games.

Console: NES Recent games: Metroid, Castlevania, Rampage I do it because my NES was my first console when I was 3-4. 18 years later and it still rocks. I'm currently up to ~65 games. Next games I'm going to buy are: Ninja Gaiden 2&3, Kirby's Adventure, Final Fantasy, Mega Man 1&2, North and South, and a gold cartridge of LoZ.
