They destroy one another.

It was inevitable, a versus thread between Godzilla and Pacific Rim was bound to occur. We all saw it coming. I HEAVILY suggest looking at the statistical data before casting your vote or replying, do NOT let fanboyism blind you. Also, Spoiler Alert if you haven't seen either of the two movies. ANALYSIS In the Blue Corner, we have the one, the Only, The champion of earth, the king of Monsters GOOOOOOOOOOODZILLA! Because of Godzilla's long history, for the Sake of this battle, I'll be taking bits and pieces from mostly the newer films but I'll also be taking LOTS OF assumptions so correct me if I'm wrong. Abilities: - Godzilla's most Iconic means of attack is his atomic breath, a blast of blue, radioactive energy concentrated into a beam that he fires at his target. The power of the blast varies depending on the film but for the sake of the fight, We'll assume the blast's power can be controlled at Godzilla's discretion and can reach levels similar to that of a 20 megaton hydrogen bomb. This blast allows him to fight from a distance to stall enemies or eliminate them before they become a threat. - Godzilla is also a master close quarters fighter, equipped with not only his clawed hands and feet, but an extremely powerful tail that could serve as quite possibly one of his best offensive and defensive options. With over 60 years of monster, human and alien fighting under his hypothetical belt, we can assume Godzilla has learned from experience how to find weaknesses in his foes and given time, could very much dispatch most any foe in close combat. - From what it seems, Godzilla seems to be almost if not just as intelligent as a human, learning the enemy's strategies and tactics over time and finding ways to counter them at every turn. Hey, when you've been at this shtick since 1954, you get skills like that. - Along with his offensive capabilities, Godzilla has extremely tough, armored, scaly hide which can minimize damage down by blows while not interfering with mobility, the ability to heal wounds of all degrees and most types quickly, can possibly withstand everything from missiles to nuclear blasts and can jump exceptionally high. - Lastly, he is a master of the seas, able to, swim at exceptionally fast speeds, maneuver on a dime, breathe in water and stay under indefinitely, He can quickly adapt to changes in pressure allowing him to be a force to be reckoned with on the surface or deep in the ocean. In the Red Corner, we have the only Catagory 5 Kaiju humanity has ever encountered, Sllllllllatturn!. Slattern appears in the climax of Pacific Rim as one of if not the toughest the Jaegers have ever faced. He was created by a race of aliens that mastered biotechnology from the cloned DNA of his fellow Kaiju and sent to earth from a dimensional rift in the Pacific ocean to exterminate humanity and claim it for his masters. Abilities: - From what I can get Slattern was created to be an expert close combat fighter, using it's three, tri crowned tails and it's claws to tear it's foes to pieces. Slattern tends to rely on brute force to get the job done, seeking to overpower outright rather than go the strategic route. However, because Slatturn is basically a biological weapon, strategy is left to it's masters on the other side of the dimensional rift. - Slatturn also has extremely tough hide, able to survive a direct nuclear blast (Albeit being heavily damaged in the process) but whether or not it regenerates is still in question. He is also built to be an adept swimmer. - Finally, Slatturn's blue, ammonia based blood, known as "Kaiju Blue", is extremely toxic to most living things and can burn through everything from soil to keratin, however it isn't confirmed how strong it really is, so we'll assume it's strong enough to burn anything up to keratin. BATTLEFIELD For sake of the battle, the fight is taking place on an open ocean, with no human vessels, structures or land masses, just plain old ocean. SO! which of these two beasts would win in a fight? The King of Monsters or the Category 5?
Because of Godzilla's long history, for the Sake of this battle, I'll be taking bits and pieces from mostly the newer films but I'll also be taking LOTS OF assumptions so correct me if I'm wrong.
Okay, so if we go by the newest films (Millennium era), we've got original Millennium Godzilla, Final Wars Godzilla, and GMK Godzilla.
- Godzilla's most Iconic means of attack is his atomic breath, a blast of blue, radioactive energy concentrated into a beam that he fires at his target. The power of the blast varies depending on the film but for the sake of the fight, We'll assume the blast's power can be controlled at Godzilla's discretion and can reach levels similar to that of a 20 megaton hydrogen bomb. This blast allows him to fight from a distance to stall enemies or eliminate them before they become a threat.
... Okay? It's actually a lot more than that, and when he's really ticked off, he can draw power from his enemy's attacks (See him drawing power from King Ghidorah during GMK and then using his red spiral breath to blow him up) but for the benefit of the argument let's say that it's still just what you say. 20 Megaton directed radiation pulse. Remember, this is radiation we're talking about here. Not just pure heat. Even if he dies, he can poison Slattern.
Agreed.
- From what it seems, Godzilla seems to be almost if not just as intelligent as a human, learning the enemy's strategies and tactics over time and finding ways to counter them at every turn. Hey, when you've been at this shtick since 1954, you get skills like that.
He actually plays baseball with Anguirus in Final Wars so...
A few things. This is all ignoring his Regenerator G1 right? The same thing that allows him to regenerate from a single amino acid, Hulk style? In GMK you can see his heart start beating in the ocean after he explodes, once again reformed from seemingly nothing. Thing is, we have to include that. It's a hallmark of Millennium Godzilla in general. In addition, in Godzilla Final Wars, he tanks a meteor. To the face. The minimum impact velocity of such meteor would be 11 kilometers per second. This averages to about 39600 km/hour. Add that to the fact that the meteor carrying Monster X was at least 25000 tons heavy (given that it was carrying Keizer Ghidorah, who was 25000 tons), and you have something around 10 times heavier than Slattern flying into Godzilla's face at supersonic speed. So uh... yeah... In Godzilla vs. Megaguiris, he pulls off something even more ridiculous. Because the people of Earth are complete sh1theads, they decide to use black holes to kill Godzilla. Unfortunately, both times they fire black holes at him, Godzilla survives. Unscathed. And more importantly, the second time they used black holes against him, Godzilla destroyed it with his atomic breath. Basically, unless his opponent finds some way to kill him all at once, Godzilla will destroy him. Because of Regenerator G1 he's pretty much immune to biological attacks at this point because his cells will simply regenerate faster than they're killed, and he's immune to physical attacks too.
- Lastly, he is a master of the seas, able to, swim at exceptionally fast speeds, maneuver on a dime, breathe in water and stay under indefinitely, He can quickly adapt to changes in pressure allowing him to be a force to be reckoned with on the surface or deep in the ocean.
Yep. So don't give me any of this "Slattern survives at the bottom of the ocean" crap when Godzilla swims down there on a constant basis.
- From what I can get Slattern was created to be an expert close combat fighter, using it's three, tri crowned tails and it's claws to tear it's foes to pieces. Slattern tends to rely on brute force to get the job done, seeking to overpower outright rather than go the strategic route. However, because Slatturn is basically a biological weapon, strategy is left to it's masters on the other side of the dimensional rift.
Yes, Slattern is potent in close combat. The thing is, in terms of brute physicality, he's outmatched. Slattern may be larger, but he's about 7000 tons. Godzilla is 20000 tons. He's not going to be overpowering Godzilla any time soon. Add that to the fact that Godzilla is effectively immune to any form of physical decimation, and you've got yourself an easy win. But, if you insist, let's move on.
- Slatturn also has extremely tough hide, able to survive a direct nuclear blast (Albeit being heavily damaged in the process) but whether or not it regenerates is still in question. He is also built to be an adept swimmer.
That first part is adorable, as Godzilla not only eats nukes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but he's also done the whole "supersonic 25000 ton asteroid" thing. Slattern died after Gipsy Danger destroyed its internals. No regeneration in that regard. Unlike Godzilla, who can regen from pretty much nothing.
- Finally, Slatturn's blue, ammonia based blood, known as "Kaiju Blue", is extremely toxic to most living things and can burn through everything from soil to keratin, however it isn't confirmed how strong it really is, so we'll assume it's strong enough to burn anything up to keratin.
Keratin? Really? Even if it did manage to just pour its blood all over Godzilla, Godzilla's Regenerator G1 would allow for easy healing. Unless it somehow drenches every single cell of Godzilla (impossible to do, especially underwater), Godzilla's coming back. And this is all forgetting that Slattern has no long range weaponry.
For sake of the battle, the fight is taking place on an open ocean, with no human vessels, structures or land masses, just plain old ocean.
Are you kidding me? This is a murderstomp. Godzilla wins. With Regenerator G1, the fact that Slattern probably wouldn't even be able to get through his hide, an actual long range weapon (with which he is pin point accurate by the way, given how he's able to aim it at Ghidorah in space, and at distant naval cruisers in the best clip ever.) that could most probably one shot Slattern with its radiation properties, and the fact that in movies like GMK he just randomly decides to come back from death whenever humanity gets a bit too boisterous, this is an absolute stomp. And more importantly, if he can stomp Slattern with ease, he stomps the entire Pacific Rim verse with ease as well.
