Anyone use razer products? Keyboards? Mouse? The tartus? (The thing with the joystick, handrest, and all the buttons) are they any good? Duribility, proformance, feel wise? I'm looking into starting pc gaming, and I want to get some new stuff! Thanks in advance!

Mice and keyboards from them are pretty good, not the best, but worth it. I thought the same would translate to their Xbox 360 controllers. Nope. Bought an Onza Tournament Edition. Not only is it wonky to use, but the right trigger broke after literally a few games, so I can only fire weapons semi-automatically because holding down the button does nothing after one second. I opened it up and the mechanics of the triggers is overly complicated and requires you to push it all the way down to get any effect, which I don't like since Microsoft's controllers have very sensitive triggers. The bumper buttons also feel very flimsy. 4/10

Mysticalにより編集済み: 4/4/2014 11:05:58 PMRazer Naga 2013 edition for my pc. I love it. All the extra buttons I can macro aren't just great for gaming but graphic design too. I can macro key commands on my mouse (like copy, paste, delete, and cut) which makes my workflow very fast. I also use the Razer Sabertooth for the Xbox 360 with FPS freeks on them. Love the controller. Not only is it really lightweight but the extra buttons are very nice. Razer announced they are going to make an Xbox One controller. One of the main things I am waiting for before I buy an Xbox One is Razer's controller. Will be epic if it's anything like the sabertooth.

I personally have a QPAD Mk-80 keyboard and their 5K laser mouse. The keyboard is really standard, it has mechanical Cherry Blue switches, just as many of Razer's keyboards. The mouse is what's special, as it has a five-finger grip rather than a four-finger one, and the optical sensor has really high DPI. I personally bought it for the grip, and I find it really comfortable. It's main drawback is that there's only two sensitivity modes (although they're fully customizable with both vertical and horizontal sensitivity).

xurs cheeky bagにより編集済み: 4/2/2014 9:56:20 PMSome of Razer's stuff is good, but a large majority of it is overpriced. The Naga, Black Widow and Tartarus are the the only things that come to mind when thinking of Razer products worth the price.

I have a Black widow keyboard and a Mamba mouse. I had a few problems with the mouse early on like left click would be right click and I was on the verge of taking it back but after a few updates it has been fixed.

I've got a Corsair M65 mouse. It's very well built and fairly priced. I absolutely love it. I got the Razer Nostromo. It's solid, no complaints. But I also have a Razer Onza, and I've had to get it replaced 3 times!

Prototapeにより編集済み: 4/3/2014 5:46:22 AMI have the Razer Spectre mouse. It's probably one of the best mice I've had, but I've always just stuck with standard mice, so I'm sure that's not saying much. Still though, no complaints. Didn't bother with a keyboard from them though. My Das Keyboard does just fine, 2clicky4u.

I have Razer BlackWidow, Taipan, and Onza. The BlackWidow I've been very happy with for the past year, but it's hard to go wrong with a mechanical keyboard. I love the Onza and am now on my third one. It's a good controller, but the rubber on the analogue sticks tends to wear out. The Taipan is the only one I'm not entirely happy with. It's a decent mouse when it works, but every time I turn on my computer I have to unplug it and wait for a while before plugging it back in for it to work correctly. With all the crap people usually talk about Razer, they actually make very solid products. The only downside with Razer products is that in some cases you may end up paying for the brand. Razer is good if you like their design, but you should definitely look at what others have to offer. For instance, Corsair, Steel Series, and Logitech all have a good reputation when it comes to peripherals.

superbreakfastにより編集済み: 4/3/2014 6:12:29 AMAlright, so, let's look at the position you're in. I notice your other gaming thread and saw that you're in a price range of 500-700$; in that case I'm going to have to say that maybe you should hold off on the Razer products for now unless you're really fixed on getting them. I'm not necessarily saying that Razer products are terrible, however I am saying that they are expensive and have garnered a reputation for being considered over priced and in some cases withholding quality that does not always stand up to the price. (It should go without saying that this is contextual) The most popular gaming peripherals that Razer offers, the Black Widow and Deathadder, are priced at 100$ and 70$ USD respectively. 140$ if you want the fancy LEDS; keep in mind that both editions feature mechanical keyswitches. The Tartarus (80$) is a gamepad that I cant really see you wanting unless you are interested in the MMO or MOBA genre; anything that relies on macros and hotkeyes. It has the analog stick, sure, but I don't see it being worth 80$ unless you're playing the demographic games. Since you're starting out with PC gaming consider other, cheaper, solutions. There's no shame in it. The Deathadder is a great mouse, however it can look a little steep at 70$. I'd speculate that some of the extra price from Razer products is from the aesthetics and convenience rather than full functionality. If I had to throw suggestions, I'd say get a decent cheapo keyboard or mouse with good ratings on Newegg or any other tech retail site. It's important to do research before jumping into buying a short-term investment and downgrading your actual rig. If you really want a "gaming" mouse and mechanical keyboard though, look into any in 30 price range with differential dpi settings. Good mechanical keyboards are inherently pricey so you can get away with forking cash over for a Razer Product. The Razer Blackwidow Tournament edition in particular is listed at 80$

Rule of thumb: Don't judge quality by price. Razer and Alienware are both perfect examples.

I think they're overpriced for their often poor build quality. If you're looking for a good mouse I recommend Mionix, good quality, price, and hardware. For keyboards I'd recommend CM Storm if you're looking for something gaming oriented. Or if you've got money to spend you can get a fancy $410 high quality Korean keyboard (switches and keycaps not included).

I own a $70 mouse and a $130 Razer keyboard. I've had it all for almost a year. I love both of them.

Derpにより編集済み: 4/2/2014 2:15:08 PMThey're fine. I own a Mamba 4G and a Nostromo (was a gift). Never had any problems with them. Some of their stuff is overpriced though. Some are fine. I was once so close to buying the Razer Cachacacachacachacacachacarus headset. But right now the Steelseries Siberia V2 Frost edition looks damn sexy. I need it in my life. I'll buy anything that glows or has LED's. Gimme that shit. Edit: I technically have two Mambas. The 4G Mamba came out right after I got the first Mamba. So my dad, feeling sorry for me, bought me the 4G one and took my normal Mamba. He uses it at work because he finds it really comfortable. Lol. He doesn't even game. What a pleb.

Mr Cocoにより編集済み: 4/2/2014 3:25:18 PMNormally, the rule of thumb is don't buy anything with "gaming" in it, because it'll normally be a ripoff, but I got a mechanical keyboard from Razer because it's pretty sweet.

Smarkdowにより編集済み: 4/2/2014 2:14:31 PMThe Rock has used Razor products for a bit before, and they seemed to work well enough. However, he's not too sure about the durability of those products. The Rock's friends have had to replace their Razer mice a few times, usually because of a broken scroll wheel.

From what I've heard, they are pretty cheap but that's just what I hear. I'd look up some reviews on YouTube. They should say or show if they break easily or not.
-
Razer makes very good, gamer-centric products, but they're a bit expensive. But again, they are quality products, so while you'll be paying a bit more (sometimes quite a bit more), you'll be getting what you pay for.
