I come to you as a humble young adult. It has been brought to my attention that a new game is releasing and it goes by the name of Horizon Zero Dawn. I come to you, #Gaming, in search of information on this buried treasure. Help me unearth the secrets of this AAA title. This is all that is known of this game thus far: link
So far there's nothing new since E3, they played the same demo from E3 at the Tokyo games show or whatever it's called. The only difference was that they played it in real time. It still ended with the same cutscene.
I have no doubt that GG can make a pretty game, Killzone 4 was gorgeous. I question their optimization though as Killzone repeatedly kicked my PS4's fans into high gear. I'd rather not have an exclusive game that melts my GPU.
Anyway, Killzone 4 took a lot of getting used to and I spent a fair amount of time fighting with the controls instead of having an appropriately transparent gameplay experience.
That said, Mad Max was pretty clunky and I still enjoyed that game, so if HZD is at least as well put together as that, it'll be worthwhile. Assuming you're into the post-post-apocalyptic setting.
If it can deliver on a semi-RPG-like open world game, then il be sold. They clearly stated that if you can see it, you can explore it. Witcher, Dragon Age: Origins and Destiny all had similar boasts, but none fully delivered.
I'm guessing the game will drop late next year if not Q1 2017, given the frequent delays in today's games.
