Moar Politics - ID's to vote?

I had originally made this a response but I feel as though it deservers its own discussion. Over the past few weeks, I've seen many liberals condemn the right for insisting that in order to vote, you must present a valid form of identification. Why is this considered reproachable? It's even been compared to a violation of civil rights. Where do you stand on this subject, and can we share our point of views respectfully like adults? I'm latino, though I admit I often get mistaken for Italian so I may not face the same daily "prejudice" as my fellow latin Americans (although my entire extended family looks hispanic and doesn't complain). I'm saying this because apparently whites cant talk about racism or anything in regards to discrimination–according to leftists. I lived in NY for 25 years before moving down to Texas where I feel more comfortable, and I noticed something that was a bit of a culture shock–though, it should've been expected. There are a shit ton of Mexicans here. Honestly, it made the transition more comfortable for me considering that I can identify with their heritage as a Costa Rican. I came down here, expecting cowboys and rodeos and found myself in the midst of chulos and fiestas. Admittedly, I was relieved to see a bit of my own culture here; 30-40% of the radio stations play the same spanish music I grew up with (as opposed to the one spanish station in NY), there are spanish restaurants at every corner, taco stands and I am able to speak to more people in my second language here than I could in NY. HOWEVER; I realized something, the overwhelming majority of the Mexicans here are in fact, illegal. I work at a restaurant as a server while attending college and every employee in the kitchen, from the line cooks to the head chefs, to the dish washers and even the bussers, are Mexican; out of which only four speak english. Some of my fellow latin servers are Mexican as well, but they speak english as a first language and were born here. They admit that their parents immigrated here illegally and that everybody in the kitchen with the exception of one or two are illegal; all of which are uneducated, meaning they've received no formal education. This is common everywhere in Texas. To no surprise, they're all liberal with leftist ideologies and think Trump is el diablo. So, given the opportunity, whom do you think they will vote for? When the overwhelming majority is no longer the minority, their vote pulls some serious weight and states like Texas are highly susceptible to such scale tipping. Every legal citizen, Mexican or otherwise, has a right to vote... but does an illegal? Why should their voice matter in our system when they're not recognized in our system (legally)? Requiring identification to vote, especially here in Texas, prevents illegals from voting, as it damn well should. Furthermore, due to language barriers as the majority of illegals cannot speak english, they are egregiously uninformed (they cannot even watch the debates). Left policies cater to them, their vote goes to whomever benefits them, whomever is the lesser threat to their stay here. Should the right start reaching out to Russia for votes to help balance the scale?

 • A lack of ID would definitely create a bias in a fraction of the polls, depending on the stance of the candidates in regards to illegal immigration.
