Hello,
I’m a vet of Destiny 1 and I’ve played a lot of Destiny 2. But I’m looking for honest opinions for Forsaken. I know no game is ever perfect, there are always flaws. I’ve watched plenty of reviews and read articles and I cannot find anything that really says no, don’t get this dlc. But I know some reviewers are pretty favored about Destiny, so I figured I’d ask everyday fellow gamers. I’m mostly considering because I want to know what happens, the lore, and everything else as it m pretty bored with gaming. I lost interest because 95% of my friends and clan went to Fortnite and show no sign of returning.
So here’s to a fresh start - worth it, wait, or just please God no, no, no, noooooo!
Update - I ended up buying Forsaken and enjoying it so far. Thank you for the opinions everyone!

Well I haven’t played since I beat the 1st DLC campaign think it was curse of Osiris something like that, I cAme back today been bored of Fortnite scrims I’ve played quite a bit but it seems pre fun so far think imma get all 3 toons to the light cap whatever it is rn then just go back to Fortnite till trials re releases. I don’t know if it’s true but from what buddies have told me it’s not comming back for 3 months or so. So I’ll be back when trials is back I don’t hate pve but it’s not my cup of tea much prefer pvp games. I get boared of playing pubs so I’ll definitely keep my eye out for trials

It all depends, if you like me, you’ll pass. Story was the greatest destiny’s ever had up until the ending, boss sucked and ruined everything. Everyone is hyping gambit up, I still trying to figure out what’s so special about it. Tangled shore and dreaming city are the best patrol zones in destiny, but if you don’t go on patrols then there pointless. Infusion process now sucks. PvP is filled with shot guns which is definitely a preference thing. I hate it but some people like it. Haven’t played the raid yet (it ain’t out at time of post) but I got concerns around that because of final campaign boss. Conclusion: depends who you ask and what your preference is. Probably won’t find answer on the forums though due to toxicity. You might think I’m joking but I’ll get some much hate for this post. People will say that it’s cause I suck at crucible or that I need to stop crying about the grind. Where ever you get the answer, it won’t be here. Sorry about spelling or grammar, I’m tired 💤

If you're this concerned, you need to find another franchise. Personally, I know I will get hundreds or even thousands of hours from this meager $40 purchase. If that's a lot of money for you or you don't plan on investing a lot of time into it, you're playing the wrong title.

작성자: Mole 1103 9/10/2018 6:42:30 PMThank you to everyone and your response. I went ahead and got it and have enjoyed the first few starting missions. And yes I know my clan might be gone be I’m always looking for a new fire team, I like being a Merc sometimes if you’re hiring. I would never follow people to Fortnite 😂 not about the Battle Royal life

Hmmm if you left cos your friends went to Fortnite, then you should have gone to Fortnite too. Forsaken is much of the same as D2, but with lots of quests. So I would say that your going to need to team up along the line to get some of the quest lines. Which is where you may come unstuck if your buddies are on another game. The grind seems to be more D1, so there is plenty to do, but after a few weeks this may have become tedious. It’s either buy now or wait till your buddies come back. As there seems enough of a game to at least buy the basic dlcl

I've been playing Destiny since the D1 beta and I've been enjoying playing since then, with my clan mates and friends for all this time. Destiny 2 vanilla was lacking. but I think that forsaken fixes a lot of the problems that people had, I would say it would be worth it if you really enjoyed Destiny 1 and want to go back to the days in some way.

Grab it. There's so much to do, story is fantastic (especially from a lore standpoint), the grind is back and enjoyable, and bows are actually good.

I'd say buy. Even if it's just the base 40$ version. But I'm a Destiny fanboy...so I'm a bit biased. If you're on the fence, wait a few weeks. See how the reactions to the Raid go and if Bungie nerfs all the good things players seem to be enjoying while patching or overfixing things not on the "Help us Bungie" list.

It’s kind of a toss up honestly. On one hand I’ve been playing A LOT since it came out (too much time on my hands) and I’m still not quite there yet on accomplishing everything new. There’s a good amount of little secrets and fun things to find, and the bonus is two patrol areas which is nice. Lots of nice new guns and perks. Did a great job with those actually. If they continue to expand on the spider that’s another good thing going there. Lots of hints at more stuff down the road (hopefully not next DLC down the road but current down the road but we’ll see) However, they have missed the mark on a few things. Some of the new open world activities (Blind well) just aren’t rewarding at all. Gambit got old two days in. The void hunter super was subpar (can’t speak for the others). And a couple other things I can’t remember at the moment. Basically just remember this, DON’T listen to anyone who flat out says “buy it it’s the best thing ever <3 Bungie”. Ok Bungie did a good job so far but they’re all blinded by the brand new stuff and I don’t trust them to be truly subjective. You may enjoy it if you risk it but you may regret it a month from now

I’ve think it’s great. As for not having a crew, I’ve played solo since launch and I’m 516 light now, you can accomplish pretty much all of the milestones bar nightfall and eventually the raid by playing solo and just matchmaking for crucible and strikes.
