Alright folks, in light of the "How can we complete forges?" debunking and struggle bus, I gave it some thought on what a could subclass line-up could be for those that may want to strategize further than "Murder Hobo" or "Whisper Only".
These don't rely on the heavy reliant weapons we've all come to know and love (Sleeper, Whisper, Thunderlord, etc.). While they are nice and give you that edge, it comes down to skills and what your guardian brings to the table.
I present to you, the community, the Blockade o' Pain Strat for forges (at least for Volundr).
Get together a guardian of each class with their prefered arsenal of weapons. Now for the nitty gritty details.
Hunter: Running either Blade Barrage & Shards of Galanor OR Golden Gun & Celestial Nighthawk
Titan: Running Banner Shield Titan & Ursa Furiosa
Warlock: Running Well of Radiance & Lunafaction Boots
TL;DR:
Group together in the back left lower cliff hall with the metal barricade. Titan uses shield in between barricade and stone wall. Warlock pops well behind Titan and then Warlock and Hunter melt boss. Titan acts as buffing blockade from the big guy's damage and gets super energy back from damage blocked. Ideally they create orbs by blocking damage and Hunter uses Golden Gun/Blade Barrage to damage. Repeat process until boss is dead.

You can run about as you would normally through the first two phases of ball hucking, but this is definitely a recommended tentative battle plan.
When you get to the forgemaster and need to melt his face, don't sit in the respawn area. Go to the back left which opens to the lower cliffside. There should be a nice barricade there for natural cover.
After everyone is in place, have your Titan pop their banner shield. Their job is to block the incoming damage from the big guy and generate orbs of light (I haven't played it personally, but it is my understanding that the more damage they block that they create more orbs?).
While they are acting as the big wall, the Warlock should throw their Well down just behind the metal barricade so they and the Hunter can start dishing out the damage. Ideally, the Titan should remain in the Well and use the open space between the barricade and stone wall acting as the filler.
While this is happening, both the Hunter and Warlock should take advantage of the Banner Shield's damage buff and Well's damage buff to melt the boss. This will extend the Shield and Lunafaction will auto-reload your weapons. Then the Hunter can either blast a hole through their head with a Celestial Nighthawk Golden Gun or hail them with a rain of knives and get super energy back with Shards of Galanor.
Then once the Titan's Shield runs out, they should have close to if not their entire super back from blocking all of that incoming fire. Repeat the process until cabal bullet sponge is dead.
Again, I haven't tested this theory but if all works out as I imagine then you have a glorious recipe for mass damage output in a squad of three. Hopefully that should compensate for two people doing most of the damage with the trading supers, orb generation, and damge buffs from other supers.
If someone can test it out and let me know, then that would be great. Was thinking about it this morning but didn't have the time to test out the theory. Sounds good in my head but there's no telling if the hopes and aspirations add up to anything.
