Whilst playing this weekend I was trying to complete the upgrade to Tier III synthesizer. I was having to use pick up groups of mixed ability. Unfortunately, one group was struggling with the end of the Tier II bosses and we failed the mission. This is normally not a problem however on this occasion, my progress went from 2/4 to 1/4. Is this common or expected? I haven't seen anything to indicate this is normal.
