I feel obliged to give you guys at Bungies HQ some feedback about The Sweet Business.
I remember before Destiny 2 had been released, it was either a picture or a video which showed us the Sweet Business for the very first time. The hype (for me atleast) about this gun was real. I love the look and the feels it gives you when you're using it. Combined with Actium War Rigs this weapon should go from a bad ass Exotic Weapon to the deadliest fast-firing-beast in the whole god damn game. It should shred any minor enemy in sight and melt any major enemy within a decent range.
When the catalyst was realeased through Faction Rallys I was over the moon believing "this is it, now its happening!"
I choose New Monarchy, the Sweet Business Catalyst over the Graviton Lance Catalyst. Just to make it worse, I used to enjoy pvp at that time, meaning I really wanted that Graviton Lance Catalyst.
Everytime I saw this gun in those earlier days I thought about one thing, and that can be perfectly portrayed in this scene from Terminator 2.

This badass scene is how the gun should feel like.
At this moment and from the very beginning of Destiny 2, the sweet business has been bad if the not the absolute worst Exotic weapon in the whole game.
The gun itself has the perfect look to be a Exotic weapon, even the skins to the Sweet Business looks amazing. Unfortanly, the looks isn't enough to save this gun alone. With the Catalyst inserted, it doesn't make it better than my Masterworked Smugglers Word.
Which means the sweet business is never, ever removed from my vault just for the visuals of it to my fancy Titan of all Titans.
This problem needs to change, the weapon needs to modified to be up-to-date with other Exotic weapons so that we can have some different loadouts in the game.
The most important change this weapon needs is it archetype. The Sweet Business is absolutely NOT an Auto Rifle nor should be classified as one. It needs to be classified as a Machine Gun and a Power Weapon.
Then what Energy type should it be? Solar no doubt.
We got Thunderlord and 21% Delirium as Arc.
Hammedhead and Bane Of Sorrow as Void.
But only Fixed Odds as Solar which is possible to obtain in the game as of this moment.
I know there is a second Solar LMG, but it was only possible to get this during Christmas was it?
I don't remember and I don't have it.
The second change is making it up to par with Thunderlord because that's the only other Exotic Machine Gun we got at the moment.
Thunderlord got the Intrinsic perk Reign Havoc which states getting kills with this weapon generates lightning striking from above. Combined with Lightning Rounds which does the same aslong as you're dealing damage to a target and it increase the rate of fire.
Just to make even better when getting a kill you have Feeding Frenzy which increase your reload speed.
First of all, the intrinsic perk to Sweet Business feels like a waste as the Legendary 21% Delirium got 102 rounds in the chamber without Back Up Mod compared to the Sweet Business 99 rounds.
This doesn't need to be a intrinsic perk at all on this gun.
The intinsic perk should be combined with Business Time and the effect of Auto Loading Link.
Sweet Business Intrinsic perk should be like this:
Picking up ammo reloads your magazine.
Holding down the trigger boosts fire rate and range and it steadily reloads your magazine from the reserves. Leave the magazine capacity at 99 rounds where it is today.
Both range and damage of this gun needs to be adjusted to compete in Machine Gun leage.
To compensate for the AOE effects that you'll find on Thunderlords Reign of Havoc, The Sweet business should get Explosive Rounds and Rampage to bumb up the damage significantly towards minor and major enemies.
Polygonal Rifling and Composite Stock should be changed to increase range and handling.
Leave the stability where it is today as it is perfect.
The Catalyst however, instead of reducing flinching it should provide an increase to Handling and Reload Speed. Mostly reload speed.
Now this all above, is the Sweet Business.
Make is happen Bungie, please.

작성자: Viguier 8/8/2019 11:32:50 PMTo be honest, i think the only thing Sweet Business needs is a reload speed buff. The weapon's problems are the same as most of the primaries, they are not powerful enough to kill ultras and in PVP, most of the primaries are quite useless. Try to kill giant knights in Gambit prime with primaries, it is just impossible. (Exept with Malfeasance.) But somehow, i am not against the idea of having a huge damage buff and using special animations. It would be similar in a way to traces rifles.

Or... Make it a Special Weapon and compare it to Trace Rifles. Leave it as a Kinetic weapon. Remove ADS and replace it with a spin-up animation and an actually manageable hip-fire recoil pattern (currently the worst hip-fire recoil in the game, at least on controller) it looks too cool when hip-firing to have it so unusable.

If I could tweak it I would change the performance of the weapon. Let ADS allow spin up without firing. So when you want to shoot you are already max RPM. The trade off is ADS itself, no radar and decreased movement speed. Rework it as a HMG but keep it in the primary slot taking primary ammo. This allows armor perks that support HMG’s to support it so with armor perks you can increase handling, reload and what other perks that increase the performance. The trade off to me is already there, a primary ammo HMG in the slot it is already in for a trade off of kinetic damage only. Give it a D1 perk Shoot to Loot. For those of you who don’t know Shoot to Loot allows you to pick up ammo by shooting it. Business time plus shoot to loot allows ammo to feed directly into the mag from your position. So when you are sending all that ammo downrange you don’t have to stop to look for and gather ammo. You shoot it from where you are and keep up the sustained dps. Bonus mag fed amount from perks like Machine gun scavenger. I would be happy with that, but if we are reaching for the skies here I would tweak the catalyst to add Zen moment and dynamic sway reduction to top it off.

Well the catalyst could do something more that’s for sure. I was thinking something like a rampage buff but for landing a bunch of shots instead of kills. Let’s say every 30 rounds it go’s up a notch until you miss a shot, so it would be an option for damage.

작성자: JadeRabbitEmperor 8/7/2019 10:40:11 PMKeep it an auto primary so it can still pair with War Rig. Maybe make it an Elemental primary like Zero Cell was an Arc in D1 THOUGH make it so its type changes automatically after every 33 rounds are fired. This would let it break shields easier. Starting with Void, then Arc, then finally Solar IMO, Up its PvE Dps! MAYBE give it Something akin to Rampage that remains active so long as Ammo is still in the clip. This would let it kill majors easier, get a Dps boost after a kill and still let it be paired with a good exotic that doesn't see enough use as is.

Sweet Business was a top tier damage dealer for Calus back in the day, so it’s not been useless for the entire lifecycle of the game. Not many exotic kinetics are damage kings and for pvp prefiring the gun can get you some insane kills
-
It's not that bad, i like it as is. I use it in gambit sometimes since special ammo is rare (and i save it for envoys) and the heavy ammo near the portals should be left for invaders only. With Actium War Rigs as you said, it's a beast in gambit vs adds and powerful enemies like those cabal machine gunners.

작성자: Machine_DNA 8/7/2019 10:41:50 AMI’d like to keep it a kinetic as it’s quite fun to ‘main’ a mini gun but I wouldn’t mind it being a heavy if it got a major power bump - with machine guns moving away from DPS in the last few sandbox updates, maybe sweet business could fill that niche. If not, I’d like to see it fill the same gap in the kinetic weapon slot. Fully spun up in a lunafaction well, I’d like it to do similar damage numbers to something like an Outbreak. Being an option as best boss DPS primary ammo weapon would hopefully give the gun more playtime. I’d also like to be able to spin the gun up as I ADS without shooting.

Leave it as an auto rifle in the primary slot. Why? You won't find enough ammo if it was in the Heavy slot and you'll easily run out. It does need a damage boost but I don't think Rampage is the way to go. That requires you to kill ads over and over just to get some decent DPS on a boss. Instead they should introduce a new perk that would allow you to gain the equivalent of Rampage x2 but it would remain active so long as you don't reload.

작성자: Charge-14 8/7/2019 3:21:37 AMChange its catalyst to AP Rounds. Boom, it cuts thorough hordes like wheat to a scythe and can still pull down a shielded unit or two. EDIT: All it really needs, IMO, but being to spin it without firing would also be great.

작성자: Dark Raven 2501 8/7/2019 12:01:17 PMIf you are being realistic the thing needs to be reworked ... I don’t know what bungie was thinking at the time but it needs a lot of work like for example the rate of fire needs to be increased to at least 600rmp and the magazine increased to 250 rounds which would be on par with the maximum amount of ammunition you can carry with a GE m134 mini gun and a reserve ammunition at least a thousand rounds then you would have something that will work. The only other thing that comes to mind is the fireing sequence is way too slow maybe reducing the time down by about 1/3 of what it is might help with improving sweet business

Move it to heavy, make it solar, and give it a new version of timed payload. The bullets that have been fired stick to the target (walls, floors, or otherwise) and then explode when you release the trigger; empty the gun, release the trigger, bunch of tiny explosions. For balancing reasons, each explosion does, idk, 50% damage the actual timed payload perk does? Since there's like 100 of them? Just my thoughts.
