Why Can I Be Put Into a Game That Is 3 Seconds Away from Being Mercied?
Less than 3 seconds actually. There needs to be some sort of blockage for this, especially for better players. Myself and tons of my friends have reported frustrations of being put into games with players with below a 1.0 efficiency and having to carry as players above a 2.5, and we live with that reality. But isn't it a little bit ridiculous to assume that we can change the course of a game before we even spawn in?
I know what you are probably thinking: this isn't nearly common enough for it to be any concern to the devs. Well, to the general playerbase, perhaps, but for me, I have had this happen to me 5 or more times in the last month of playing, and it makes me want to stop playing altogether. It messes with our win/loss ratios, and our elo on Destinytracker, both of which I know a lot of people care about.
I suggest there be something put in such players will not be placed in games that are in progress if the score of one of the teams surpassing 60 and the game is on pace to end in a mercy (so the other team's score should not exceed 20 I believe). That way, almost all stats should show that the outcome of the game would not have changed whether that spot be filled or not, and players will not be put in impossible situations.
I apologize if I sounded arrogant in this, but it is simply a fact that players of my caliber and above (because there are plenty much better than me) get put in these absurd situations far too often.
Why can I be put into a strike when it’s about to finish?
Why can I be put into a Gambit match when the opposition are at their primeval and about to win, whilst my team have 10 motes banked?
Because. You. Can. Be.
Build a bridge, get over it 😉
