Same issue for me unfortunately (since 9/26 afternoon). Glad yours started working! There's hope. Just adding my experience to the thread. Ran through all the suggested solutions (validating Steam files, reinstalling, updating game drivers, deleting temp files, etc...). Booted up the game via GeForce Now on an entirely separate machine and still crashed when trying to Launch out of orbit to any destination. Not sure if messing with any 3rd party inventory managers (DIM, light.gg) would have played a part in causing this. For now I'll pray to the Bungie gods and just keep trying.
