I'm in doubt between the two editions. I don't know whether to buy the Standard and the Episodes and Dungeon Key when they come out or to buy the Deluxe edition, as I have done so far.
I only played the last season when the Onslaught mode came out. Bungie doesn't have my trust to give it all my money. The Season or Episode system doesn't work for me. We end up repeating the same raids and quests after we finish the new content for the week. If it wasn't for the clan mates and friends you play with, that's what makes this game great.
Price-wise, I think it's the same to buy standard + 2 packs of 1500 lumen (for the Episodes) + 1 pack of 2000 lumen (for the Dungeon keys). I think the main difference is the exotic weapon, which you can't get any other way. But then you don't use that exotic weapon in high difficulty content as a GM. It's not like Osteo Striga, for example. Then there are some stashes with each Episode but they only have materials. And I have a lot of materials after all these years of playing.
At the moment I think it's better to buy the Standard and save the money for another game or something else. And when the new season or dungeon comes out, if Bungie convinces me, I'll buy the new content. Although the easy thing to do is to buy the Deluxe and forget about buying anything else, I'm not sure Bungie will be able to get me hooked on their game.
Can you help me decide? Thanks!

It depends on your impressions of the episodes and final shape. If you are sold on everything they have showed or is a for gone conclusion, you can go for the Deluxe edition. If you feel like the Episodes and dungeon don't are not worth the commitment or questionable, you can go for the standard edition.

Bungie may raise prices on Episodes and Dungeon Keys But if you buy the Deluxe, you don't have to worry about that, and can laugh at the smart people who have to pay 2900 Silver for a Dungeon Key

If you’re going to participate in the episodic content and play enough to obtain all of the episode pass rewards for each episode then you might as well get it now. If you don’t think that you will then you’d be as well just getting the standard edition. I’m considering whether to bother at all. I have always enjoyed the base gameplay but there’s a lot of content I can’t/don’t participate in.
