This game is dead, unless you start making this better for the player. For instance, checkpoints. I was in the middle of the Kells exotic mission, well I had to walk away for a minute. I was almost at the end. And got booted. Now I have to start all over. Well it's simple. I won't. Now I won't touch destiny again until the next "season" and it's only cause I've paid for it already. Make the player experience better especially when -blam!- goes wrong. So many other companies do it. It's time to move forward.
You are losing players in droves, sure some may come back. But your leaving such a bad taste in players mouths, that many won't. Your reputation is at stake. Your releasing marathon soon, if someone asked me if they should play it, I would say no. You can't trust bungie to release a quality experience. They don't have the players interest at heart.
You must repair your reputation before you release marathon. The only way to do that is to help the player experience in destiny.

I got booted. I never went back to do it again. I did not buy the next season. I never was interested in the exotic weapon. I just wanted to finish the story. I said something here as well and got told I sucked lol. I just do bounties and patrols now.

Doesn't make a whole lot of sense seeing as how it was entirely your own fault, and everyone knows that if you leave in the middle of something and don't come back quick enough, you'll get removed. No checkpoints are needed for a mission that can be done quickly just because you left before finishing it.
Now I have to start all over. Well it's simple.
Now I won't touch destiny again until the next "season" and it's only cause I've paid for it already.
Good for you, I guess. Bungie doesn't really care if you already paid for something and don't play it. You already gave them your money, so who cares if you don't play what you paid for.

Honestly bungie doesn’t care or will ever look at this they don’t listen to feedback they only look at numbers and make decisions based on that unfortunately majority of not all those decisions are usually bad decisions marathon is one of those terrible decisions developing a game no one will play because tarcov players won’t touch it so it’s unappealing to them and destiny players aren’t happy they focused resources on marathon instead of destiny so they won’t play it either Sony is gonna lose a lot of money from bungie when the game fails at launch which is why Sony is already starting the restructuring process at bungie but I think it’s too late for that now tbh

I can't imagine who is going to play Marathon, this game has been terrible since the Witch Queen. Why would Marathon be any different? Why would anyone think it would be any different lol?
-
It's really simple. Content is their second biggest issue. The first issue is the unindated infrastructure (servers) and incredible amount of cheats / carry services running the game now. If streamers and players keep leaving the way they are, I'm confident in saying that Destiny is gone this year.
Now I have to start all over. Well it's simple. I won't.
You literally have the exotic shotgun in your collections. Also, I'm guessing you've spent approximately 0 seconds playing Marathon, so idk why you'd be giving out recommendations on whether or not to play it lol.

You need to do more than just update the New light experience. It doesn't matter if it is the best tutorial that has ever been created, if the game after that point is pathetic.

Sometimes IMO I think they are just sick of Destiny period, yea it's a successful IP but it's their only IP soo far that's helping them by hoping Marathon be successful "which I doubt" The only way I see Marathon being successful is that it has to become something more than an extraction shooter like adding more modes for a variety of players. *PVE *raids *3v3 *6v6 *Competitive *Private matches Extraction shooters alone not gonna cut it anymore that ship sailed

I think everything should have selectable checkpoints. Raids, dungeons etc. This can help players who want to target farm certain encounters without doing the whole character swap or playing the entire thing. Personally , I hunt final encounters only, and I don't really want to play the entire raid or dungeon as I have limited time.

If you are by yourself in an Activity, the game should never kick you to orbit. End of story.

Yep all this has been known this year . D2 is not changing and on its way out . We had amazing 10 years ! Don’t envy people coming to game now though .
