Dear Bungie Team,
First of all, I want to say that the gunplay in Destiny 2 remains outstanding. It is one of the main reasons I, along with many other players, keep coming back to the game. The weapon mechanics and overall gameplay feel are at a level that few other games can match.
However, I feel that the PvP aspect (e.g., Crucible) has not received enough attention recently. In my opinion, putting a stronger focus on PvP content could significantly boost player numbers. PvP has immense potential, and I’d like to suggest the following improvements:
1. New Maps: Adding more variety to maps would be fantastic. Perhaps bring back some classic maps from Destiny 1 or introduce new, innovative ones.
2. Faster Balancing Updates: One of the major issues is that a single meta often lasts for years. This leads to a stagnant experience for players. Regular and, more importantly, faster balancing updates would be crucial to keep PvP dynamic and engaging.
3. Ranked Mode with Unique Rewards: The core appeal of PvP lies in competition between players. Many gamers love testing their skills against others, and a well-developed ranked mode could elevate this experience.
For example, more elaborate and exclusive cosmetics, such as unique armor (similar to Trials gear), could be introduced exclusively for competitive modes.
Additionally, unique weapons for each rank, similar to those available during the Forsaken era, could serve as a powerful motivator and badge of honor for players who excel in PvP.
4. Events and Modes: Introducing new limited-time modes or tournaments would add excitement and help further engage the community.
5. Better Rewards: PvP-specific gear that feels truly unique would provide strong incentives for players to spend more time in Crucible.
I am confident that a well-maintained and dynamic PvP experience, with balanced metas, exciting rewards, and a focus on competitive gameplay, could attract a large audience. Many players love the thrill of proving their skills in competitive environments, and I believe Destiny 2 has the potential to shine once more in this area.
Thank you for creating such an amazing game, and I hope you continue listening to the community's feedback. I look forward to seeing what the future holds!
Best regards,
iScany

Good points for sure. Especially the tournaments. There is already a passionate scrim and turner community which is proof that it can be successful. The problem is that bungie is afraid of upsetting the bad players. -
작성자: jr_0081 1/14/2025 10:44:01 PMIf they are struggling to add new maps maybe let the community make it in a forge like mode and same can be done for gambit since you know…they left it to starve. An event idea I have is like the faction rally or guardian games but for weapon foundries so Hakke, omolon, veist, daito, suros, nadir, field forged and cassoid and the rewards can be new weapons and armor themed around the foundries

Dang Europeans! Your messed up calendar writings! I think you meant to say 1/13/2025, right? When you look at the 2025 calendar, do you go to the date first, or the month? Say you want to know what day June 16th is. You would go to June first and then look for the 16th. So why wouldn’t you put the month first in your abbreviation?
anyway, I just wanted to start some crap on the forums, you do you!
lol Bungie are or if they looking at this forum …probably writing all this down for marathon! PvP is a mess and the worst state it’s been for a long time . Bungie would only need to do few things to get PvP back to a good standard but they won’t ! Big shame

I understand your frustration and share many of the concerns expressed here. Destiny 2 is a game that means a lot to me personally, and that’s exactly why it’s difficult for me to see the direction PvP has taken. I often find myself shaking my head because I wish for so much more. However, I want to make it clear that my post is primarily about improvement suggestions for PvP. Of course, cheaters are a huge problem, and I think we all wish they didn’t exist. But for this specific topic, there’s already an excellent post by "MoNki" that thoroughly addresses the issue of cheaters. My focus here is on how we can improve PvP as a whole – for everyone who loves the game and wants it to return to the exciting direction that brought us joy. I believe most of us are here because we care deeply about Destiny 2. So let’s stay constructive and hope together that Bungie hears our voices.

Some good points. But I am whole heartedly against a better player being able to get a better weapon. We’ve been down that rd before.

작성자: WifeAggro_AFK 1/13/2025 12:48:37 PMThey need to address the cheating before anything competitive will take off. I've all but quit pvp on PC simply due to having games/cards/flawless runs ruined by someone flying around with infinate heavy ammo or multiple supers in a a 5-0 game. - And that's just the hard cheaters. The device users also should be addressed; but that's something many games have issues with and haven't solved. The current comp reward is lackluster - an emblem for reaching the highest ranks and that's it. Nothing for hitting 10k, nothing for maintaining ascendant through the entire season. With that said; as someone who is only slightly above average in pvp - part of it is the player numbers; other part is lack of incentive; but I'm not waiting 4-5minutes for a comp match to grind to Ascendant this season. Hitting Ascendant for me isn't easy like it is for PVP mains, but when there is zero incentive to play the mode; i simply just don't. I can't imagine anyone wanting to play ranked if all the rewards are locked behind only the highest tier when many players will never reach it - Look at how Trials faired when the adepts/cosmetics etc are locked behind the lighthouse (when adepts actually mattered) With that said - this is a PVE game. If the dev's don't nail pve; there's no hope to bringing in enough players who will do pvp on the side.
