Question on Killing Logic and Sword Logic

Hey everyone! I've seen this discussion numerous times in the past but I can't seem to find it, but what exactly is Sword Logic and Killing Logic and their differences? I'm interested in writing a story focusing on the Taken, and since those two things play a big role in Hive culture (and thus influencing The Taken) I'd like to stay accurate to their principles. If anyone can give me an in-depth explanation or a link to a previous explanation I would greatly appreciate it! Edit: Thank you everyone! The YouTubers you've pointed me towards and the explanations have helped me everyone! Now I see why they say that Lore section of the forums is the friendliest and most open towards others.

  • The sword logic means that if you kill something more powerful than yourself, you become more powerful, which pushes all living beings towards one perfect final being that cannot be defeated by the sword logic. We killed Oryx, therefore we are he more powerful beings and "deserve" to live, whereas he does not because he was defeated
