As awesome as Tyrion is, his voice acting skills are sub-par. A very high percentage of gamers and critics agree. I know the best way for Bungie to win everyone over with the next voice actor.

H. Jon Benjamin... Please this so much. And let him just run with it. I mean come on... Archer as the Ghost??
-
the ghost is an AI, I don't think it really has emotions. I think you are expecting its like the female AI in HALO? this ain't HALO.. and I am pretty sure that HALO AI was an anomaly.

Well it's not like Tyrion was given much to work with. The script is itself beyond laughable. The lack of imagination in most of those lines is appalling, across every "character" in the game. Most of the exposition dumps are deliberately stunted and it hurt the script so very much. Stuff like the infamous "I don't even have time to explain why I don't even have time to explain... but I will anyways" or that "I could tell you of the battle that silenced the Traveler but I won't, for no real reason" all really hurts the script, which hurts the delivery and the "characters" themselves. I think Ghost gets the heaviest criticism because his is the first and primary voice players hear - and one of the only voices they heard in the Alpha and the Beta. Really, most of the voice acting was just as tired as Ghost's. It wasn't a problem with his acting, I would say. It was a problem with the script. It may have been a problem with how he was directed to say the lines. It also could have been because he was given dry pseudo-science jargon to mumble about to no one in particular while the player slays beasts. Not everyone can be as talented at that as Jen Taylor. Still, I think Tyrion does deserve another shot. Either that, or Bungie needs to outsource their script. It was seriously, epically amateurish.

Nathan Fillion. Nathan Fillion for everything

How about actually getting some actual writers who won't use the excuse of "he's a robot, so he's got to be monotone" to get an actor as amazing as Peter Dinklage to play a -blam!-ing monotone character?

I feel that it isn't the actors fault but the script writers. It is a robot and frankly sounds like one. Sadly, it is called out because it is just about the ONLY voice acting in the game. Had there been more variation then I am certain it would have fit in nicely.

I have zero issues with Dinklage's performance. I quite like the bland deadpan delivery. He's a stable point in a world of madness.

I think Dinklage did a great job.

I like Dinklage. Hes supposed to sound bland. And Bill Nighy as The Speaker is great, I love Bill Nighy, hes badass.

Peter Dinklage is a fantastic actor. He proved it in the last season of GoT. I have no problem with how he portrays Ghost. For comparison, Jen Taylor as Cortana was not nearly as fleshed out in Halo 1 as she was in Halo 4. She, of course, was absolutely fantastic from the very beginning, but her character developed in spades as each game went on. I'm sure Ghost will grow, and with it, Peter Dinklages performance, as time goes on.
