What is so wrong with giving your devoted guardians a trade system? I see posts of people saying it would break the game, "scrubs" will be 32 without even knowing the raids, etc. This can easily be prevented by making exotics and raid gear/weapons "bind to your account." Let the scrubs buy the 33 armor and 331 weapons! Give us an auction house/marketplace! Every RPG/MMO I've played I spend a fair share of my time at the auction house examining prices, checking for the perfect weapons, and just looking at the cool novelty items. What about this would break the game? In my opinion it adds so much versatility to an already great game! Please bungie! We love you!

Bad thing about trading would be that people would sell for real currency. As well as potential stealing gear and weapons. TM request to borrow item and never returns. Seen that happen in other trading games.

There isnt enough game to warrant a trade system. Rolling the guns is the game, there is nothing else to Destiny.
-
People would sell their guns for actual money

I think it's funny that there is complaining about trading when they let you freely move weapons and armor to your different characters. I have never had that freedom. If you want a true MMORPG experience - go play one. Destiny is a hybrid game and doesn't quite fall into either shooter or MMORPG categories. Let's get to the root of the OP: I don't have (insert exotic or rare armor/weapon here) and I'd rather buy it from the auction house or trade with someone so I could feel complete.
-
There is one piece of gear per character per type (helmet, chest, ect) if you don't include exotics. There is zero ability to custom make a class. A market place for what? What do you want to trade? My crota helm for your crota helm.. lol
-
A trade system would break the game. If there was a trading system everyone would have every weapon they wanted by now. Only 6 months into the games life.
-
Here is the reason : If bungie implemented a trade system in this game, then people would be on ebay and on here selling weapons and armor for real money. Do you honestly think bungie is going to allow that to happen effectively taking money out of their own pockets? This is why it wont happen.
-
You should be able to trade everything but exotics.

I reckon there maby should be reward screen trading only
-
No trading!
-
Please, never, ever, put a trade in destiny.
-
How bout they just fix the rng system so trading isn't really necessary? If all exotic weapons had a bounty or quest, like they said it would pre-release, then this wouldn't be an issue.

I used to think it would lead to players selling things for actual money online and that would give some people an unfair advantage, but now I am of two minds about it. On the one hand "so what?” It’s not like there is an efficient way to farm gallys so that as a reseller I could have enough on hand to make that model viable, and on the other it isn’t like it would even matter that much. PvE side I don’t care what you have and how you got it, I only care about what I have and how i can get it. PvP is usually (except IB) normalized so one red death is as good as the next and it isn’t like people aren’t all running around using the same handful of guns already. I really don’t think it would change that much or create much of a real world economy. The drops are too unpredictable. So I’m on board for trading and I have around 16 timebreaker sparrows available. Looking for just one Vex....

Gjally. $10 PayPal or eff off.

I'm honestly pretty okay with there being no trade system this early in the game. Maybe when the gear is much more diverse and once lots more builds are possible, then maybe it would be good to have around. But as of now, I like it the way it is. Trade systems can be tricky because of the potential to totally break the game. There are multiple games where the trade system has been manipulated to duplicate weapons and gear so no transaction is needed and items lose their rarity and value. They would have to put a lot of time and effort into it to make sure the system couldn't be exploited.

Eventually the only people left will be the desticles in these comments that say no. There will be no more cheesing or people wanting nerfs and no crying cause it's a dlc nitefall srike. And xur is rng because deej said it himself.....in a post.....to cover his ass after a video leaked of him saying it wasnt. Or another form of upgrade mats for raid and vendor gear. Because thats the way bungie wanted it. They will totally eat deejs shit and like it and scream for more. Desticles will say this dlc wasn't as great as we thought but the next dlc....now thats the one thats gonna turn this game around. It's got 4 story missions instead of 3. WOW THAT'S AWESOME! They will scream and cry as they throw their money at bungie as quick as possible. If you didn't like how little dlc you got with how much you paid then you're a peice of shit entitled spoiled brat. You got 800 hours out of the game you OBVIOUSLY didn't hate the game much. They rage type op is fgt on the forums. HOW DARE YOU SHOW NEGATIVE OPINIONS ON DLC YOU PAID FOR IN THE GAME ON THE VERY FORUM CREATED FOR THE GAME!! They will shout. you are no longer a desticle because of your stupid opinions and criticism. Even now after reading this they will only pick out the part about how i said if you got 800 hours out of 95 bucks then obviously you got your money worth Desticles will say more hours equal better game. They will say quantity of hours over quality of hours.... Thats when the desticles will rule.... Coarse there will be like 100 000 of them left any ways........

This is a bad idea for the same reason that Blizzard took the auction house out of Diablo 3. Because people will exploit it. You will see people offering items in exchange for real world cash. They will sell these items on ebay, etc, and then "trade" the item to the winner. Except after getting your cash they don't trade you the item. Person who paid $100 in real money for a gjallarhorn they never got is suddenly complaining to Bungie about it. But what are they supposed to do? They can't get your money back. They can't force a trade. All they can do is ban the offender from Destiny. So the guy just creates a new account and starts all over. It was too much of a headache for Blizzard to deal with so they killed it.
-
WTS Gjallarhorn $200 usd have 4 this is why
-
You do not need one you want one and no this game does not ever need one for if it had one people would be selling their gear on ebay/amazon/craigs or any other site for selling things for real money and that should not ever be allowed in this game. just because other mmo/rpg games do one thing does not mean this game has to do what those games do no matter what you want or think ever. this game has aspects of those other games it is not meant to be exactly like those other games.
-
It will never happen. You will have people selling stuff for real money. It would break the game.
-
No trading. I dont want everyone to have every weapon. Nothing feels rare or unique as it is.
-
Some form of trading would be good but let's cool it with the auction house nonsense, that was tried with D3 and turned out to be a disastrous nightmare.
-
I think there should be trading but the game is not ready in my opinion. Content is the number one issue and random drops would have to be drastically changed. For example, ghorn drop rate would need to be exclusive to higher level areas ( we dont have such a thing but the crota raid could work). Plus there needs to be a greater of useful items.... There is only about three of them (approximately). Destiny needs for punch to have an enjoyable trading system and the way destiny is designed, i dont think it would be.
