I am dismantling each weapon unless a) it is a most used Legendary (one per slot, per character), b) it can be used in the Crucible (one per slot, per character) or c) it is an Exotic.
My rationale is twofold:
1) I gotta free up space; too many weapons that aren't all that different
2) If this theory backfires; and the hurdle to level up in TTK with the weapons remaining is too high, I might just break the Destiny addictive and move to another game in October
3) I will only play Crucible in September until I can read all the TTK reviews, visit the forum and decide if I want to purchase the TTK. If the DLC is that good, I will not mind re-acquiring new weapons.
What is the problem with this logic, or this plan?
Thanks!

Keep them you might be able to get the old perks on the new weapons from the new feature the gunsmith is going to have.

I will never dismantle my Fatebringer or Vision of Confluence.

I think we'll get more vault space in ttk and legendaries can be used to upgrade weapons so for now I'm keeping everything

The only problems that could possibly come back to haunt you is the one we faced once TDB came out. New weapons, new damage cap. So many people dismantled their vanilla gear (myself included, minus raid weapons), because we were told that they wouldn't be brought up to the 331 damage level. Then came HoW, where we could ascend all of it to 365... Since you're not dismantling exotics, problem #2 doesn't really apply here, but here it is anyway: Nerf/Buff/Balance for PVP - we have seen when the Vex was God Mode, then Auto Rifles, now it is Hand Canons, but soon to be Auto Rifles again. Since the most used load outs change depending on the patch, it's not a bad idea to keep at least 1 of your best version of each weapon type (legendary + exotic).

Not dropping anything until I hear more concrete news about vault space. I love what they're going to do with Emblems and Shaders though. ~TheGreatNike
