THE PAST (How I became a Guardian) [The TL;DR-Part!]

A day that should shape my life for ever..
It has been so many years now..
Yet, I still remember when we had our first glance at the gameplay teaser of a game I would soon be falling in love with..
Our guardian landing in the cosmodrome in Old Russia, in between a wreckage of old, rusted cars.
When we entered the walls and Peter Dinklage (previous voice actor for our little light, lmao) came floating out of our pockets and was so kind as to become our little light.
When we confronted the Fallen for the very first time.
When we heard Rixis, the Archon-Slayer creaking from hole in the Wall in Eliksni-Tongue.
When we popped our super for the first time, got introduced to fire-teams, saw a fallen ketch and beat a fallen walker.
I remember getting hyped about every little detail and just couldn't wait to play the game myself.
It still gives me goosebumps to this day.
(っ˘ω˘ς )
Thinking back how my friends and I preordered the white Destiny PS4 bundle and the Collectors Edition, walking to Gamestop like little kids walking to a candy store to pick them up.
(✧ω✧)
The feeling when we registered on Bungie.net, creating our own gamertag and guardian.
From those days forth, those great memories just kept adding up.
The campaign, the characters, the first exotic drop, the challenges, vault of glass, Crota's end, King's fall, Wrath Of The Machine.
I was one of those players who wanted to explore every niche and cranny of the world of Destiny. Fascinated by the lore, I remember even reading, or rather diving into the Grimoire-Cards via 3rd party sites.
I remember how hyped the story about the Krill/Hive, the Awoken, the worm gods and the Ahamkara got me and how I was trying to explain everyone why we named our clan the way we did (Ghosts Of Ahamkara), with everybody having absolutely no clue wt* I’m talking about, haha.
Ha... well.... yeah~ („ಡωಡ„)
Time passed and as many veterans might recall, Destiny didn't exactly have the best reputation in it's early days due to several reasons and it didn't get better over the course of the franchise development.
This ultimately led to players dropping the game and sadly so, my friends did to, one by one...
It already began with King's Fall and It took its final toll with the launch of Destiny 2.
I didn't want to give up on the game, since I loved everything behind and about it so much.
However, I could perfectly understand why my friends and so many other players where disappointed and fed up with Destiny and how Activision handled the IP...
So I tried to convince my team to give it one last chance with Destiny 2, with the Leviathan being the last raid I ever played with my clan in Destiny...
As the last man standing, I tried to See Destiny as what it could and should be, but unfortunately, I didn't last much longer…
All the soloing and frustrating failed attempts at raids and trials burned the last light in me, out...
(눈_눈)
Alas, I dropped Destiny as well, and it should take me a few years until my return...
A lot had happened in those years.
Mainly, my wife and I launched a clan of our own (father of 3 eager little guardians now🧡), we explored the world and I somewhat found to myself.
\(^∀^)メ(^∀^)ノ
But even though my motivation to play may have worn out back in the days, my love for the franchise never died as the launch of Witch Queen proved to me.
I remember almost shedding tears when relaunching the game for the first time after years, with Witch Queen.
All those tracked memories of achievements just started rolling out on my TV, beautifully displayed after all those years, with all my old clanmates in the credits.
I returned, my good old friend.
And it felt good.
It felt really really damn good.

The game felt....
so familiar, yet so different, in a good way.
It felt as Destiny has evolved as well.
When I saw my girl Savathun rock the screen, I felt the same hype as I used to all those years ago.
I played through Season of the Risen and it didn't take me long to get all the expansions and grind through what little time I had left of Season of the Lost.
It all felt so... fulfilling.
It all felt so... being home.
And I must admit... I felt a little regret coiling up inside...
I swore to myself, this was and will be the only time I left a good friend behind and from this day on I will stick to the game for the years to come.
And then dropped Season of the Haunted and oh boy...
This season's theme, atmosphere and vibes just hit home so hard 🤩
(╯✧▽✧)╯
And that hunter set...
I was officially sold.
Since then, I have been grinding my way back to being a wholehearted guardian!
(๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ
But enough of the past…

I love both PVE and PVP content, currently spending more time in PVE, however.
I play pretty much everything PVE-Based, besides Raids (LFG has been somewhat a pain for raids..)
Planning to improve in PVP, drastically, hoping to consistently join Trials someday.
Though, I suck ballz atm :‘D

I try to schedule my day as productive as possible.
This includes my Destiny Game-Time, as well.
I usually play:
Mo – Fr | 5:30 PM – 7 PM CEST
Tuesdays | 8PM – 10/11 PM CEST
Every 1st and 3rd Friday in a Month | 8PM – 10/11 PM CEST
(Varies) Saturday – Sunday | 4:00 AM – 6 AM

I’m quite a laid back and chill type of guy, I suppose.
My kids taught me a lot of patient :‘D and I’d describe myself as a team player, offering help were I can.
I am familiar with most of the mechanics in the game and when it comes to harder/more demanding content, I tend to educate myself beforehand to make first runs as less pain for everyone else, as possible.
I’m 30 + years old for all who care.

If you made it this far with out skipping the TL;DR, uhm… thx, I guess
(〃 ̄ω ̄〃ゞ
If you are still interested in adding me to your ranks, I just have a few prerequisite I’d like to mention... (SWY!)
As you might have noticed in my prelude, Destiny means quite a lot to me and I’m playing this game quite serious.
Therefore, I’m looking for a team of like-minded guardians, who not only enjoy the game, but also plan to do so for the years to come, with Lightfall and beyond.
I would love to join and become a member of an established Raid- and maybe even Trials-Team, with completing a Day-One-Raid someday being one of my many wishes and goals, haha.
Gotta always dream, little dreamer!
(っ˘ڡ˘ς)
And who knows…
Maybe even get to make new friends and become a big, nerdy, inter-galactic-space-family!!
But we can just see how things roll… first.. ofourse. :3
In addition, my brother is somewhat a big destiny fan as well.
However, he does not play as regular as I do, mainly due to the same reasons: lacking a fireteam.
He is not quite as experienced in endgame content and might take a few attempts to get the hang of things.
However, he is just as willing to help everyone and anyone he can and would like to join your clan with me.
He is older than I am and probably has more time to play than I do.
He is a Titan-Main, having all classes as characters though.
His power level is a little lower than mine, though.
So…
If you are a patient pack of glowing and non-glowing space-humans and shooting refrigerators, who don’t mind messing up a raid every now and then and getting clapped in the crucible ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), but are eager to improve and evolve and would like us to join your ranks and become part of your team and adopt us in to your big, nerdy, inter-galactic-space-family (≖ ͜ʖ≖), just post us a little introduction to your clan below or PM me with your info and details!
Looking forward to hunting with you in the future and explore what Destiny has to offer in the years to come!
Until then,
PER AUDACIA AD ASTRA .. n stuff!!
I’LL (hopefully) SEE YOU, STARSIDE, Soon-To-Be-BUDDY!
