Bro the episodic weekly mission steps have to be the single most mind numbingly boring quests steps I've ever played.
Get some samples on Nessus...
Now go get some more samples from another spot on Nessus
Now do the battleground and get me some samples in there.
Go talk to failsafe
Go gather some flowers from this spot.
Now go gather some flowers from this spot
Kill 100 vex
Bro this can not be the standard going forward. I understand historically the seasons that have released alongside a yearly expansion haven't been the most content packed... but this doesn't even feel like any amount of effort was put into the quest designs. This is worse than "starter area in an MMO" quest design. This is filler content that isn't even trying to hide that it's filler content. Also, we really don't need to be going back to the helm every other quest step just to be told to go back to where we were literally just at.
Final shape was in 10/10 banger
Episode 1 is like a 4/10 and that's only because the weapons team gave us some solid weapons to chase this time.
-
Each act should’ve been: Hunt down, fight, and rescue our exo buddies that have been taken over by the Conductor. The battleground bosses should’ve been Banshee + Ada with a large arsenal of weapons, Elsie with stasis, and then Saint with sentinel shield/bubble. This would’ve been way cooler than collecting things and fighting reused bosses/ vex with a new shader.
-
A lot of quests have been somewhat like that but there does seem to be quite a bit of flying places for not that much reason.

-
News Flash it wasn't. They sold you on the premise that it was going to be a better cadence of content with these quote unquote "episodes." No, we just got the same most mundane weekly time gated season formula. Nothing changed. People are calling it out and not playing as you should!! Stop playing D3 needs to happen!
-
It’s just time to move on. D2 is complete. Either make D3 or just call it quits
-
Ain’t it indeed
-
how was any seasonal content ever any different?
-
It's just busy work. Go fetch the McGubbins. Go back to see whatshisface. Fetch more McGubbins. Listen to a radio message. Do seasonal, beg your pardon, Episode activity x amount of times. See you in a week. Failsafe is also weak as anything. Who is the target demographic for this garbage dialogue? Children? It's just lazy. We get less than we did in seasons. And not one single cut scene, ever. Shameful. I'm not a 'I'll never play this game again, Bungo you ruined my life' kinda guy. Most things I like to do in game are outside of seasonal, beg your pardon, Episodic model. I wont be buying any more seasons, beg your pardon, Episodes. I'll still play for the pew pew pew. No more of my cashola unless something radical shifts in the game.

$10 for this btw, other games give this kind of content for free
-
Maybe there is too much interference from Big Daddy Sony kinda like how Microsoft forced Arcane Studios to make Redfall an open world live service rather than what they actually wanted to make?
-
I agree. The Final shape was great. The problem is that it was so grindy for some content that it has zero replay value after doing the exotic quests and obtaining red borders. So some people will equate that to it being bad, but it was a great finale. The episode so far is okay to me. I enjoy the battlegrounds more than I thought I would. But yes, going around to random places and injecting nanites into locations or whatever seems unnecessary. I feel like it’s lacking real mission structure like seasons of the past. The content is there, it’s just not assembled correctly at all.

These guys can’t make games anymore. Absolutely no talent left here whatsoever. Some of them are not even real game developers!🤣🤣🤣 The things they come up are hilarious. Laughable at best! 🤣🤣🤣 Absolutely nothing here but a shamble mess of shallowness!
-
Episodes = Trash.
-
As soon as I heard the steps in act one I dipped out quick . Look I’m done with pve side of things now and just hanging onto pvp . It is what it is !
-
It’s not even content. It’s chores.

Well you know, once Bingie lost it's help the creativity went through the floor. They hire based on some criteria other than the best people. Nothing about this expansion scream great! Some maps and art work is good. The story is meh. The difficulty is set to high. The Dev team is more focused on streamers and their content than actually making an enjoyable gaming experience.
-
Season that comes out with an expansion is always -blam!-
-
It's not as bad as in WoW, where you had to kill 10.000.000 boars for 5 ears. But I think Bungie could fix that with a QoL update.
-
Could go down as one of the worst seasons of all time.
-
Fetch quests the Season

Disappointed in Bungie - stary
Most seasonal quests are -blam!- and the exotic weapon is only coming in act 3…. And will probably be drip fed where we can only get it in the last week or some -blam!- So tiresome. Tesselation is -blam!-…. All fusions are -blam!- Bungie. Red Death is okay. Its okay its not insane in PvE. The lack of exciting new guns is showing. Most all new weapons TFS and this season are boring in PvE. High impact scout buff shouldve been here this week, not next or in 2. Its all this drip feeding, while nerfing everything fun while we’re at it. Nerf nerf nerf. Must bring balance. Must bring balance to make sure everything is equally bland and boring And most of all don’t update any exotic armor to be exciting to use with prismatic. Or weapons.
