Name change bug STILL going on!!
Bungie PLEASE, you're saying you're working on the name change bug but I'm getting desperate here...
You gave us tokens but still MANY of us were not able to switch back to our old names. You've said you're working on it and I guess/HOPE you still are but I am starting to wonder here.
WHEN will it be done? WHEN can I finally get my old name back? Do you have any sort of time frame for when this will be resolved?

It's seriously getting problematic, they need to fix their AI and get some real people to double check these

I was able to change my name. Though my login did not show I have a name change token... However, I was unable to change to my original name: Kaien111... I did not get any notice about a problem with the original name. In some ways, I am fine with the change. However, there is definitely a problem with the system and restoring to old names.

5 OdpowiedziI have yet to recieve a name change token as well and I'd very much love to get my name back. I checked with the guidelines, it does not break any of the mentioned rules. I even typed in a different name, just to be sure, and it doesn't let me change it.

I really hope this is still being looked into... I've been Farrmark on here for as long as I can remember. Yet since August 13th Farrmark is deemed no longer acceptable for reasons yet to be clarified.... Mark is a valid Bungie Name (mulitple users), Farr is a valid name (1 user I think) but for some reason if you combine the two it's not allowed? It's been nearly two months, I know there's a load of us, we'd just appreciate some clarity (control) around what happened and maybe an actual apology 🤔

17 OdpowiedziBungie issued the tokens a few weeks ago universally to all accounts. Keep in mind they are not an item, just a permission to change one's name. To change one's name the new name must be in alignment with the Code of Conduct and Bungie name policy. It is worth noting that while they did fix the issue, some names that were impacted are still not able to be selected as they were before. Bungie is investigating that. You can either wait for Bungie to implement a fix for previously moderated names or change your name to something other than your previous name.
