What the hell is this BS? I was expecting to have content for at least a week, if you sum up every quest from Episode 1, it was way more than 2 hours. What the actual hell is this crap Bungie? Not to mention most of the content was "wait until this NPC stops yapping so you can go to listen to the next NPC yapping ".
Who EVEN designed this? This season, episode, hell, it's so short you cannot even call it that. It is a slap in the -blam!- face.

Edytowany przez użytkownika DarthWolfric: 10/10/2024 3:10:29 AMThey take out the filler “go run [seasonal activity], which a bunch of people complained about, and now folks are complaining it’s gone. Always something to complain about.

Edytowany przez użytkownika jr_0081: 10/10/2024 11:58:26 PMIsn’t no time gates what you wanted? this was meant to be in the course of 3 weeks. Do you people really know what you want at this point or no you guys want to complain about getting things you wanted.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Mudd-11: 10/10/2024 1:16:35 PMNot to be someone defending the story here, particularly with how bad it has recently been, but this is about "par for the course" where a typical Season starts. Additionally, we have a new Dungeon starting tomorrow and lots of new loot to chase, so personally I am not too concerned with content being dry. While I feel that we are missing a mission or two, such as the random time skip in the middle of a cutscene, (how did we get back to the Last City?!) it is about as long as I expected the story to last for this first Act. Typically you have the exposition and "the hook" here, explaining why we're here and then giving the viewer a reason to stay engaged. Right now we are technically at a solid cliffhanger that works for the Destiny universe, where we have to gather materials while also denying the enemy their own. Unlike the previous Episode's first Act, which was leaving us with a "who is this person controlling Vex" question while everyone already knew the answer, was therefore a terrible cliffhanger. Let's hope they never fall to that level again! Usually I wait until the end of a Season to judge a story, much like how a book or movie can start slow but wind up being much better than initially thought. Unfortunately there was not much saving last Season with the direction it took. (Edited because sadly I thought today was Friday)

This is what basically everyone was saying was gonna happen if/when they ever removed the time gating. It's absurdly predictable, you can set your watch to the d2 outrage.
-
Yall asked for this , what's wrong?
-
And they want you to pay $15 for this
-
Ha, people actually expected good content from Bungie 😂
-
Just like I predicting, you all rush through the content and then cry that there isn’t enough to do. Funny how predictable this forums is.
-
The funniest thing to me? They never once have you go into the Seasonal Activity to progress Act 1. Say what you will about last Season, it at least broke up the monotony of just talking with NPCs by having us play the Seasonal Activity. You know we're in for a rough Season when it makes the last one look better by comparison. And we're only a day into it.
-
I'm hoping that more content will unlock after the dungeon is cleared on Friday.
-
just report it to Sony support.. spam it.. 100% they will do anything
-
Players can't be content without content.
-
There’s only Like one or two actual missions

Wtf...

You just realized that's how this works? This is what all seasonal content has been for years. 3 hours of actual stuff to do cut up into 20 minute segments over 6-8 weeks. This is why I hated the seasonal model. I preferred the 2 mini expansions + 1 large expansion like D1 and D2y1 Or at the very least the annual pass system that came with forsaken. Once we moved to seasonal it was pretty obvious that the content was 3 or 4 hours of dialogue in the recording booth, a couple of cgi cutscenes at most, then all cut up into tiny segments to keep players on the weekly hamsterwheel.

I'm done, but I did want to see just how bad it was through the forums before I take off for good. Who didn't see this coming? All of those empty changes to increase grind, they're a cover up for how little content they're going to give. LL, weapon rolls, inching out better armor rolls, this is the content now. No thanks, I'm done worshipping RNGesus by throwing my time at it.
-
I mean, I think it’s the same as before content wise. Nothing changed except being able to consume all content immediately I also don’t think the players know what they really want, but this time Bungie decided to let them have their cake and eat it too.
-
They've done goofed big time with this season's launch.
-
If it’s only a couple of hours (saw someone saying 30 mins, lol) then seems like I’ll be able to get that done during the little time I play D2 these days, so kinda suits me tbh. I do get where you’re coming from though. Sounds like very little content for people that play more.
-
It’s always been this much content, they just cut out the time gate and most of the filler so it’s obvious. Frankly I prefer this rather than stretching it out to 4 hours across three weeks by adding tedious filler but I think it’s just a fundamental problem with the Episode/Act structure. Thankfully it seems they already realized this was a problem which is why Episodes are for this year only.

Welcome to the Mid Season of Final Scam Dlc. season has only onslaught again? no craftable weapons. content is play 5 years old raid for 5 year old weapon for redborder. now we know how D2 2025 would looks like with the "next BIG" dlc LMAO + since 12hrs no game sound FINAL SCAM

Mine just disappeared. Think I was on step 13 or 14 then it just disappeared from my quest page.

You thought a SINGLE ACT was gonna last you an entire week? Lmfao. Pulls those expectations back into line champ
