Different tonic requirements???
I got a question. How is it that it requires me 66 tonic recipes to get my 4th minor fieldwork while my friend only needs 43 tonic recipes to get the 5th minor fieldwork??? How is that even possible? I find it kind of unfair and insult to my time spent getting the materials(pain in the a**) to be able to unlock those tonic recipes.
I'm i the only one with this issue??

Sounds like your friend is working on Act 1 or 2 fieldwork, while you are on Act 3 fieldwork.

Have you compared how many Minor/Major Fieldworks each of you have completed across the three Acts? (΄◉◞౪◟◉｀)
