So, when TTK drops, our Vanguard and Crucible marks go away and are replaced with Legendary Marks. Legendary marks cap out at 200, but can be used to purchase from both Vanguard, Crucible and Faction. Not only that, they are now shared between characters, we are essentially losing 600% of our marks and gaining triple the ways to spend them... I am all for simplifying, but something tells me this is more of a ploy to keep us playing for more.
At least with the old way, I could go buy a legendary vanguard weapon AND crucible weapon and still have 50 of each marks for whatever. Now, I can only get one...
Fletcher: "Don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining."
Edit: I understand that the marks are shared between all characters and can be earned on one and spent by another, I get it. What I am saying is we should be able to store up to 400, minimum, since that is what we are currently able to do (200 Vanguard and 200 Crucible).

If you play PVP than earning legendary marks is your playstyle, but if you play PVE you only earn marks playing daily and weekly heroic.

Destiny community: there's not enough to do!! Bungie: *adds features to make the game better and more drawn out so you have more to do* Destiny community: this is a ploy to make us play more!! -blam!-ing -blam!- this community is never -blam!-ing satisfied with anything. No wonder Bungie ignores all of your complaints and suggestions. You're like menstruating women trying to decide which restaurant to eat at...

You'll just have to be creative with storing marks. A lot of space is going to be opened up with the vault. So you should store legendaries so you can dismantle for a burst of marks when you need it.
-
Once you spend your 600 marks you'll have to earn them back with 100 per week cap. In ttk there is no cap so it's endless mark earning. Do the math, it'll be a boost in marks in the long run.
-
There's no weekly limit, so the wallet cap while a bit low IMO, isn't that bad. I'm all for it.
-
Signed and bumped.
-
But you also have more way to earn marks. By dismantling legendaries. If you are capping out quick? Just save some legendaries in your vault for the next spending spree you go on. There's no need to store unused un-upgraded Exotics in there, as they'll be stored in your collection. Or just buy more stuff.
-
So then what happens when TTK if you have say 80 vanguard on your hunter, 120 on you warlock, and your titian has 100 and 200 crucible? do you lose all those marks? do you only get 200 because of the shared? lol I have one speeder I haven't upgraded yet should i bye that sparrow now before I loose all my marks or will my marks carry over and I a new better sparrow be available? hell I'm not even sure if the weeklies and Xur are even worth while for the next month. Will any mark progress and exotics be pointless? lol I'm seriously confused about all that and if i should just take the month off with the gear and monetary system changes coming :(

There is no weekly cap. So you can buy a weapon, go back out earn more and buy another the same week. And with the legendary marks shared between characters that will be easier.
-
I think that they also allow you to hit that cap however many times you want though Like the glimmer cap
-
With level packages now guaranteeing legendary drops, you'll probably get most of those items for free anyways.
-
That cap is too low but if the glimmer cap is any show they don't seem to realize that they set their caps too low.

Editado por EightiethPine6: 8/19/2015 10:12:50 PMYou gain flexibility in that you can now gather marks on, say your titan, and use those marks to buy armor on your hunter. This is important because the grind to 40 will probably be a real b**ch, while the most heavily mark-rewarding activities are sure to be on the high end. Getting one there will support working on the others. Another nice perk is that even just grinding the little daily activities will get you enough for a mark purchase fairly quickly now. Before, those 5 mark rewards from dailies could take a while to add up. Now you can reach rewards faster if you like to divide your time amongst your guardians evenly. The downside is that your effective mark limit is a sixth of what it was before. This is irrelevant if you're fine spending your marks as you go, and only really serves to limit players from storing up marks for mass gear purchases on release of a new DLC. Keep in mind that there is no weekly limit on marks now, so the collective pool has no downside there. On the whole, it's a nice change in my opinion.
-
Keep in mind that there is no weekly cap either.

what an idiot you are, please go back under your bridge troll

Editado por Aetheric: 8/19/2015 9:59:05 PMYou can earn them unlimitedly, there is no weekly limit. I'd rather 1 200 cap with unlimited earning potential than 400 and a weekly lock out
