This game informer article shares a video in which Bungie explains that many players left the game after reaching level 20 because of the confusing light system and because people's level was at the mercy of RNG. Now they say that TTK was programmed to help invite those players back and want to continue to play Destiny. So in the end Bungie doesn't give a shit about the people who played through CE or PoE, they are just concerned about bringing people back to Destiny. So to answer all of your questions about the controversy, they should have told us as soon as they started developing TTK that they were gearing this game towards casual players not willing to grind.

i kinda agree with your idea. bungie is letting all the players who purchase TTK a free boost to lvl 25 right off the bat and also some additional goodies where as all the players who have been playing were grinding their but cheeks just to make it off to 34 which is kinda biased. In simple terms its like payed players get more then the basic progressing players.

I suppose that's one way to infer it

Lol... what a horrible and childish "take" on that video. It was actually a great vid that showed their humility and passion.

You suck! Stop complaining. There is nothing against year 1 players and it is kind of normal to try to get more players to get back to the game... If they dont do anything about it, how do you think they are going to last their 10 years as they are supposed to?
