So as a person new to the raid ive been looking to find a raid group and I came across a disturbing trend. People with no experience are DEMANDING only to raid with groups that have experience. it goes a little something like this
new to raid have 2 people a titan and a hunter. need 4 people with raid experience and have beaten oryx only. message me.
Seriously? so now people without experience are demanding experienced raiders? no wonder no one will take new people in. if you don't have experience you shouldn't demand that you have a group that has beaten oryx. you are at the bottom of the barrel. take what you can get.

Yeah this reminded me of last week when we were searching LFG. We were laughing how ridiculous it's gotten.
-
I saw a guy spamming the lfg the other day and he was looking for 5 people and he was demandng that they have experience and were above a certain light level. I couldn't stop laughing.

Sounds familiar, we raided on Friday and got up to Warpriest (we've gone in pretty much blind), Saturday we needed one more and couldn't get anyone to join for love nor money as we weren't high enough (most of us are around 295-298) or because we hadn't done it before (this was coming from people who hadn't done it themselves).
-
Most of the groups always ask for experienced players. Before this weekend, I wasn't experienced and luckily I found two groups that let me in. On Friday, I got to the ogre with one group and Saturday I finished from that point with another. Having done it now, I can say that as long as there's one experienced person in the group, that should be enough because the mechanics aren't that bad. It is getting pretty lame with every post demanding experience but I've done it myself so I can't bitch about it. That said, I'd say wait a month and it'll calm down quite a bit because by then they'll be a lot more people confident in this raid that they can assume the role of leader and bring in more inexperienced players. There are good people out there. It also helps to bring something to the table. Having the spindle was a huge plus going into the raid.

I've never posted a must have this or that myself, I do get why some ppl who beat it want to play with other ppl that know the raid after yesterday's experience at the sisters, let's say when you've nearly killed them and a guy who doesn't want to run gets torn and decides best thing to do is jump off side n wipes the team and this happens more than once it's not cool. But noobs who ain't done any of the raid demanding a full team of ppl that beat it and want a carry is ridicules one thing about this raid you can't backpack ppl unless you willing to wipe over n over.

Bungie need to neft the raid..lol

The Raid has shown alot of people for their true colours (hence why i will never do it or finish it) I helped one group out on how to start and get into the raid properly (agree'd to clan up) Boom! got left behind Next group i got blamed for 2 or more wipes yet i had the most kills/damage etc etc but hey anger management for some was needed (i got kicked) Last group just plain ignored me throughout the first boss then i got kicked as we were about to kill him (so i lost on loot) But hey thank god i'll never set foot in the raid it is a pointless waste of space in the game for me. all it has proven and shown is that people's arrogance/selfishness and anger issue's come out when a few silly bits like weapons have a higher number on them so people can show off around the place. The game itself is great love it, but the Kindergarden that is the raid heck worst place to go.

Was just making the comment count not be 666. So yeah bye.

Cool. Look for Sherpas on reddit. LFG is for Nightfalls and picking up a +1.
-
Yeah dude seriously... It's so ridiculous! What's the big deal with helping a guy out. I got a group of friends together and one of them was still 284 and we are taking him along through the raid. It honestly is t even that hard, except golgoroth, that took a few tries. We almost beat him in three turns though it was awesome once we got our strategy down.
-
it's why I've never gone to lfg (except once, for skolas). would rather look for a team on this sub forum, people here aren't assholes
-
This isn't anything new
-
For me and my team, we taught so many people what to do and how to do it during week one that were exhausted of showing people what to do and have to wipe every time they mess up. I don't have a problem helping as long as you're willing to LISTEN. And watching a video and not actually partaking in the fight is the same thing as not doing anything.

In a month it will be worse. Must be 300+, must have raid weps and 310 sniper, must be good with taking gaze and running spark, must have touch of malice. Experienced players only!
-
What I find amusing is that the RECOMMENDED light level is 290. Which to anyone with half a brain means that if you are in and around that level, you will have a good chance at beating it. My group hasn't yet done it but and we made it to the daughters with a fair amount of ease once we understood the mechanics. The only reason we didn't carry on is that we all have work and lives, and half have kids. One dude on our team was level 287.

Editado por loonigus: 9/28/2015 8:17:21 AMI did try a few LFG raids and it was very long ago, but it was a horrible experience. 1st one - Two ppl were from USA, one from Australia and the rest including me from the EU. Terrible connections due to the distances and Atheon and the whole raid kept on glitching out... We had to quit after a few hours of struggle 2nd one - 10 year old kid was the raid "leader". I gave it a shot, but inevitably it ended up in a disaster. He couldnt find the correct way trough the maze... He started crying at the end. 3rd one - For 30 minutes on the Atheon fight two British guys were nonstop talking about football and Fifa. Both were squeekers. I noped out after they failed to kill even the damn gatekeepers. Had also a guy from Texas that was talking about his gun vault and how he and his granpa owns 200 guns and how great america is, how he served in the military and his rights to use guns (I love you guys, but swear to god... Sometimes I want to slap you in the face region so much...) 4th one - I was trying to start my own one... After two hours of inviting ppl they kept on leaving and I gave up.

Recently taught 7 new or semi experienced ppl how to raid so

The sad part of lfg is that you're dealing with people who are afraid to socialize with others, and can't join a clan that they can raid with on a regular basis, for instance. So, they have to use it to find a group. Fortunately, I have that luxury and am ever grateful to my peeps for taking me in.
-
Interesting! I was able to lfg my way into raids three times this weekend and had no experience finding a group. And we beat Oryx, so not sure why anyone else is having such a difficult time. Also, I had no raid gear at all, and was able to get to light 294, so get your light up, and go join a group! The next time I playI would have you in my team, al you need is ask
-
This. I still have yet to beat oryx. I've done everything else fine. Every team I find on lfg completely messes up continuously and it's like the same mistakes over and over. I know what I'm doing and it frustrates the shit out of me
-
We only needed 1 and 3 people joined and then left because we were all new to the warpriest and "not killing him quick enough"! People just want to be carried!
-
I got kicked at oryx because of other people's shitty call outs and communication. But they were too arrogant to listen to what I was asking for. Basically oryx is hard and needs good teamwork. This is a good thing. Unfortunately this means u won't be abel to do the raid with most. As they are arrogant jerk. Then because they keep failing they get desperate and put ridiculous limits on lfg.
-
This is nothing new.

I went blind

We have a solid group of 4 and then always mix in 2 new people. We know that the 4 of us can carry the weight for some of the new players as we teach them the ropes of the raid.
