[Before you read this, I tried to respect your beliefs as much as possible. I use very many "quotation marks" to mark what you believe that I don't. I am trying to be civil, so don't come at me with some aggressive bullshit that is uncivil, as you will be muted. If you want to have a good old fashioned debate with me, I'd be glad to participate!]
All scientific evidence points toward the universe being created over 14 billion years, and continues to be created today. The bible explicitly says that the universe was "created" in six days, and man was "created" on said sixth day, along with all other intelligent and unintelligent life. There are fossils that have found to be 3.45 billion years old, but the oldest fossils of man have proven to be only 160,000 years old. By your logic, and the bible's of course, man and animal were "created" on the same day, meaning in the same time period. Now let's say you make the argument that "days could be billions of years in the bible's terms." This would be an argument that not many people could attack. But I've been perfecting this argument for this very reason. By your logic, "God" was/is an intelligent being. "God" being the one to create Earth and its intelligent life forms, per the Bible, "created" man to speak a uniform language, and use uniform logic. A day, "made" by "God" when he "created" man and the cycle of our planets, is, and has remained for millions of years, roughly 24 hours, hours also being "created" by "God". If I use your logic and the evidence I just presented, this means that the Earth, and that there was, is, and will ever be, (proven by science to be inaccurate, as the universe is ever-expanding) was created in a six day time span. With the oldest fossils on earth, (to be found) being 3.45 billion years old, and the oldest fossils of man being 160,000 years old makes absolutely no sense right? By your logic these things were created side by side. Like I said above, if you wish to continue this discussion, I would be glad to! But if you don't agree with what's said above, don't be rude and uncivilized towards one of the few people trying to respect your beliefs. Hope those of you who are believers of God (Or whichever, uh, let's say "Godly" being you believe in) would like to debate about this hot topic. I love talking to intelligent people and being engaged in a possible learning experience!
