The D2 Sandbox Looks More Like a Cement Pit

To follow the analogy, you build and create upon it until it gets boring, then you shake things up and build something new. The sandbox of a looter shooter is supposed to be constantly shifting and changing. The D2 sandbox is... not that. It's a pit of cement. After it gets built, it becomes dry and rigid, and goes untouched for months. When the forums hit a fever pitch of frustration, Bungie comes out with sledgehammers. Everything is broken down and rebuilt, to once again form a rigid structure. That probably sounded better in my head... The point is, players get frustrated when facing the same loadout day in and day out. The other half gets frustrated when you suddenly take away the things they spent half a year perfecting. Take some risks, Bungie. Give every weapon archetype its time in the sun. If you find that people really hate the sandbox, change it. Who knows, maybe somewhere along the line you'll find the balance that you've been looking for. You'll never know until you try.
