OK, so it's pretty clear that Savathun is going to find a way to make her so called Hive guardians. I think most of us assume that every Hive puppet is going to be gifted with the light, but...
If you look at the trailer for WQ, specifically the part where Savathun brings forward the Hive ghosts, if you look carefully you'll see it's maybe a handful of them. I'd say somewhere between 10 and 20. Considering a small lore piece of Crow telling Ikora that he had to steal 'a handful' of dead ghosts from spider, I'm thinking that definitely not all Hive are going to be Lightbearers.
My thought is that she is going to have a bunch of special soldiers or guards that can wield the light. Perhaps turning them into something similar to the scorn bosses from Forsaken. But then again, it's just a theory 😉

It’s all fun and games til the cursed thrall thunder crashes.
-
Mara has an egg, 15th wish remove savathuns worm, it gives her the light
-
So it’ll be another repeat of “kill mini-bosses thay eventually lead to big boss” like Forsaken and Beyond Light?
-
Editado por Corrick II: 8/28/2021 11:55:26 PMI sure hope it’s not every hive. Can you imagine light bearing exploder thrall. That’d be ridiculous. I’m expecting it to be something like the Forge Saboteurs, they’ll be yellow bar Hive and you have to kill their ghosts before you can permanently kill them.
-
This season will explain how that happens. Thats my opinion.
-
All i can say is, they better have some overload rounds for hunters using RDM.
-
It is just het Lucent Brood. Not ALL the Hive.
-
I've been saying it..Stormtrance or BladeDance Ogres would be hilarious.
-
Hopefully it won't be like the red skeletons from Castlevania.
-
Forsaken: Kill the Scorn Barons Shadowkeep: Kill the Nightmares Beyond Light: Kill top House of Salvation dudes That's literally the same story every time XD.
-
Why would I be anything other than that anything else would be over the top
-
A GAME THEORY
that is all
-
Gameplay wise, it would be a nightmare if all the hive could come back from the dead. And in the trailer you can see the guardian only finishing an high-value hive’s ghost.
-
I think it’s safe to say that not every hive we run into will be a lightbearer. I’d assume that she used Sagira’s ghost (alive or dead) to find out out they worked and then used dead ghosts (I don’t think there are lore to suggest ghosts going missing) to reanimate them into hive ghosts. Whereas our ghosts come from the traveller and are more plentiful. So the thing that still sets things apart is that the ghosts from the traveller are plentiful and maybe more replinishable. But the Hive ghosts may be more limited in number due to how they are created. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a mission/strike where we had to interrupt a ritual that was bringing dead ghosts to life as hive ghosts.

Thundercrash Ogre!!!
-
Would be better if it was just guardian armor mixed with hive ruins and chitin all over them. You know another idea for zombie guardians kinda. Could even make a new subclass out of the idea as well. One that is actually dark powers. Evil powers.

Cant wait for an acolyte to use Chaos Reach
-
It's going to be just like the Beyond Light trailers, the hype was like "We are facing an army of stasis Fallen" ,Reality:Only story bosses and a few random yellow bars use stasis I am betting only certain enemy in each add group can use light , and will be easily avoidable like Gaul was
-
My theory is the eye of the hive ghosts is a hive crystal which contains a miniature throne world. As for the light, I think it's either stolen (like what we saw in savathun song strike) or synthetic light. Savathun has had plenty of time to study the light and even Asher made synthetic light on IO.
