Why does a simple ghost projection cost more than a weapon ornament?

Ghost projections are conceived in the UK, outsourced to China for coding, test marketed in the US for inclusivity, reviewed again by China to ensure no one said anything about Taiwan, then sent to Bungie in a weekend for upload and crashing of servers.
