I and other players have often found it hard to clearly and quickly read the radar in Destiny 2, especially in PvP. It seems to either not show vital info in time, or show completely inaccurate info.
I think there are 3 main problems with Destiny 2's radar system:
- You need to look closely for subtle gradient changes in order to pinpoint where an enemy will be.
- The "pie slice" system we have now doesn't show info clearly or quickly enough to warrant being used over our eyes and ears.
- The radar's grey background is too transparent against the rest of the game.
Bungie, I would greatly appreciate it if you updated the radar to make it more visible and accessible.
Edit: I have tried the colorblind mode that makes your radar yellow, and it works well on all maps except Altar of Flame and Radiant Cliffs, which have a mostly yellow tint/color scheme to them.
Also, I feel like I should clear something else up that I saw mentioned on someone else's post. I don't crutch radar, I don't hide behind corners waiting for enemies, and I don't hardscope the same lane for minutes at a time. I push a LOT in PvP (sometimes way too much), and I just think the radar needs an overhaul in order for average-skilled players like me to perform better in PvP (and sometimes PvE).

What other players? Why bring ‘them’ into your standpoint?
-
I just wear headphones and use sound ques. Looking at any radar is time looking away from the screen
-
It needs a compass. Dont care if the throne world has no magnetic north or whatever. Up on the map is north.
-
Do whatever, but if they make the radar any less opaque, im gonna be annoyed as hell.
-
I have a difficult time seeing the radar so I play in colorblind mode (tritanopia) even though I’m not colorblind. Would be nice to be able to set the colors without colorblind mode. The normal radar colors are so dull and easily blend in with the environment.
-
I believe they made the radar like this intentionally, since the halo radar showed more information and exact locations which let to camping in pvp, so they likely learn a lesson and made a radar that shows less info.
-
Radar needs nerfing so stop crutching on it to win matches because you cant aim. The player base is to happy to sit and wait for the game to do everything. Radar ruins the point of a FPS stop playing like a bot and push. I don’t mean push as a team all match either I mean on your own because how you going to play better if you are always waiting for the enemy?
-
Um.. NO to buffing radar. It's already the best out of any game I've ever played. But they should definitely allow you to change colors, etc.
-
If I could switch my radar rom red to yellow without messing with the colors of everything else I absolutely would because the yellow stands out from the colors of most maps, meanwhile the red just blends right in (not dissing the palette choice of the maps though because I think they all look amazing).

Editado por d!bu: 1/30/2024 10:00:03 PMRadar? The whole game is outdated. Anticheat worth nothing ( nor your reports ), graphics engine is a pile of -blam!-, servers is a pile of -blam!-, should i continue? Edit: Comments in this forum are worthless, Bungie doesn't give a -blam!-.
-
The radar is fine they just need to make the red more visible. I have to change it to yellow in order to see.
-
Radar is bad, character creation is bad but due to a change after 10 years and when the game might be on its way out. Oh yeah this game needs a face lift , I don't think it's going to get
-
I think the radar is fine. Try adjusting your screen or use Colorblind settings to make it standout more if it's hard to see. Just my opinion on it being "fine," though of course. It's functionality is good at least.
-
lol, come on bro really? 🤣
-
Radar in this game is really good and easy to use check your HUD setting maybe you got em turned too low

Editado por John Marston: 1/30/2024 9:00:38 PMim pretty sure its outdated too bungie changed the radar with the launch of d2 to have a little delay before it comes back after ADS and as far as i know its still there
