On the Game Awards being bull -blam!-...
Almost every single category, the Playstation ninja bots, are up for nomination. Who the -blam!- cares about the Ninja bots?
What will really hammer home the Game Awards being the peak of VG industry self congratulation, is if Black Myth Wukong does not get Game of the Year and instead -blam!- Elden Ring SotET wins- sorry man Elden Ring is good, yes; but it does not deserve a second nomination for its DLC, it's just not that great.
In terms of best action game, im biased but Space Marine 2 should win it for showing us a different time in gaming, a simpler more fun time when we weren't grinding dailies and visiting a cash shop every 5 -blam!- minutes. I'm going to watch again, one can only hope for a better Bill Clinton Kid.
-blam!- the game Awards, they are like the Oscar's, just with 10 or so less pdf files in the room.
Also Destiny 2 for best ongoing game??? Get -blam!- bungo, you ain't winning that LMFAAAAOOOOOOOO

1 ResponderDunno why making new categories is so hard. I get not making too many, but at that point you can just not put em up for awards. DLCs? Really? Remakes sure, but DLCs imo dont need an award, maybe a mention at best, and not for being the better DLC but for doing something special as a DLC, like how SotE is like another game, but that’s it. I love FromSoft, but I’d rather they win GotY for actual games, otherwise it just lowers the value of their [i]actual[/i] Games of the Year. I didn’t look at action noms, but yeah, SP2 is a strong win for me. Dunno what there’d be to lose to. And if D2 is on best ongoing ([i]suuure[/i]), so should Warframe, which is far older and also [i]not[/i] dipping in quality at the moment. All in all… [spoiler]The game announcements better be flippin worth it.[/spoiler]

1 ResponderElden Ring is up because Geoff had a panic attack realizing Metaphor was such a hit it had a chance. No, but seriously, Balatro is my pick. There, quite literally, is nothing like it. "oh it's just a poker deckbuilder roguelike" LISTEN TO YOURSELF. Poker. Deckbuilder. Roguelike. It's one of the most addictive games I've ever played, and it's a single indie dev's side project. Black Myth I haven't played, though I'd likely be rooting for it if Balatro wasn't up. Balatro is like you SM2 point, it's a different kind of game. You buy the game, and enjoy it for hundreds of hours, no strings or monetization attached.
