...and it feels like a pretty colossal disappointment. I've only played about 2 and a half hours or so, and I would say that it has simply felt like a tutorial except for the fact that tutorials are meant to explain things, which the game has not yet attempted to do, at any point in time. If I hadn't played previous AC games I would be at a complete loss as to how to proceed as it asks you to do things but does not tell you how to do them. It's been failure after failure, and honestly I'm not holding out much hope for it to change.
I really wanted to like it, too. I used to love the series, I played the original, 2, and Brotherhood and I loved every second, I bought Revelations but never found the time to play it... and just kind of fell out of the series after that. Unity just isn't fun, especially when my last memory of playing AC is Brotherhood, which was absolutely fantastic.
I really wanted to play something with a great story; I've been playing lots of Destiny and it has great gameplay, but the in-game story is very much lacking. I really want to get in to the story of Unity, I'm sure it gets good, but the gameplay is as appealing as beating my head against a wall. An old splintering wooden wall with nails sticking out of it.
Is it worth my time to continue playing Unity, or should I just cut my losses and move on?
