Unable to authenticate Steam account to disable cross save and relink platform accounts
I am trying to disable cross save and am unable to authenticate the Steam account (I had no troubles authenticating my Playstation, Epic Games and Xbox Account, the Xbox account being my main account I currently play on with all my characters). The reason being I am in the process of switching platforms.
I am fairly certain that the steam account I am logging in through in order to authenticate is the one already linked, my steam name is even visible on the page, but I keep getting an authentication error along with the text "The account you attempted to verify is not linked to your currently logged in account. Please try again with your linked account for this platform."
Is there any way I can resolve this? As I said, I am pretty certain I am using the steam account linked to my bungie account to authenticate. I am having no issues logging into the steam account I am trying to play through and have full access to it.

Log out here on Bungie.net and log back in with the Steam credentials that you are attempting to authenticate with. See what happens - if it logs you back into this account, the one you are on now, then you know for sure that it is the same account. But if it logs you into a different Bungie.net account (or asks you to create a new Bungie Account for it) then the account you are trying to authenticate is a different Steam account entirely to the one currently linked.
