I know this issue has been posted more times than once, but it does feel like their is an increasing number of people being to lazy to contribute and help out other guardians during a strike. The problem not only of them being idle, but can be very frustrating if they get better rewards than you for basically doing nothing. I have seen many good suggestion to tackle this problem from the likes of idling 3 or more minutes get an automatic kick & replaced with another guardian. Another is if the idle guardian does not hits on the boss then remove his rewards. But, the problem is that guardians will find a way around this. Well... nothing I can do nor I cannot see Bungie solving this annoying problem.
