Hey there fellow guardians,
At PSX this year Bungie unveiled that Sparrow Racing is coming to Destiny for a 3 week event, and this blew my mind - let me explain myself down below.
Ever since Destiny was first released the community has been strong, always coming up with suggestions on how Destiny can be improved and what should be added to game to make it even more enjoyable. One of those suggestions was Sparrow Racing, and literally everyone was begging Bungie to bring Sparrow Racing to Destiny. This is why i love Bungie so much, because they listen and they do their damn hardest to make the game we love the best in can possibly be, but there was one thing about this whole Sparrow racing reveal that really annoyed me - the community.
Everyone was waiting for Bungie to come on stage at PSX to unveil something big to its fans and when they did, the community went nuts and in a bad way. Yes some people loved the fact that sparrow racing was coming to Destiny, but the vast majority of Destiny players said this "When is the next DLC coming Bungie, sparrow racing sucks." Literally all i saw on my twitter feed was that previous quote, and this upset me.
Bungie have literally spent time, money and a whole lot effort to bring this community something that it was begging them to bring for months, and all the community could do was moan that Bungie didn't reveal the next lot of DLC. I mean come on The Taken King only came out a little over 3 months ago, and you want more DLC already.
All i'm saying is appreciate Bungie and what they do for this community, the time and effort everyone at Bungie puts in to help make Destiny a better place.

It's time for people who really enjoy this game to step up and make our stand on the forums. Everyday I see countless posts geared toward mindless negativity that it's just downright sickening. If you don't like something then voice it proper. I know not everyone is going to like everything, but I've noticed this horrible trend... 1) Bungie Posts 2) Forums filled with negative posts 3) People who love the new updates/content? No where to be found I feel bad for the moderators who have to sit there and sift through all of those posts and also the guys/girls over at Bungie who bring us really cool stuff. They deserve better, we as a community deserve better.
-
At the end of the day I think this is a new step for gaming. It can only get better.
-
At least you point out its only some of the community, and don't act like its everyone in the community.

Every that's continues to freak out that they did a horrible job on this game calm down. You have to remeber when all you have done in your career is one thing you will only be known for that. They took a big leap trying to do something they have never done before. The whole partnering with Activision was a bad idea from the start because that's was mainly what cause most of the problems now. That's kind of why I'm glad they are now partnered with Highmoon. And Highmoon makes games that tend to be more fun and enjoyable. I like this new direction their going in with destiny because it feels alot more like this is what bungie would do. Espically considering that destiny does not have a linear story like halo or call of duty. Sorry I had to get this out there first. But back to the whole where's the new dlc part of this. That's what I hate about the community right now. That's the darkside of it I don't like. I know it's there. But it doesn't mean I have to like it. It's kind if like when bungie did it Bungie Bounties with the dames of destiny and when we had people from the community going into the chats and threatening them. Granted this happened awhile ago and this all that I know of it.

If your like me that was super hyped for this game and thought that bungie was gonna give us another halo CE than your fooling yourself. This game deserves every criticism and bad rep that it gets. Why? The story is still god awful and nothing is explained. Their is still no story telling. The Rng in system in destiny is complete bullshit and especially in crucible. Multiplayer is always unbalanced and has something wrong with it. It continuing to recycle bosses. Repetitive strikes. The only things good about destiny is the music, graphics, and the raids. They put more effort into the raids than they do the rest of the game. Oh and let's not forget the fact that micro-transactions have been added. Yea. Like we didn't see that coming after the 3rd dlc in a year. I won't be surprised if this game turns into pay to play.

Oh stfu. I stopped right when you strapped your mouth to BUNGIES balls and said "this is why I love bungie, they listen" you are a complete and utter tool. What? They listened. Ok sure, after more then a Gd effin year. Go suck an exhaust pipe

i'm selling lube, would you like a tube?

I completely agree with this. I dont comment on the forums much, but I do read. Ive read quite a bit about the sparrow racing way back when. I for one was proud of bungie, taking the time to listen to a always developing game to add something the community wanted. Now all I see is complaning. Geesh. Its not easy making a great game. Their trying to make us happy. How is adding new content - making people mad? Be greatful their listening. They dont have to.
-
my problem stems from the fact that everyone is a jerk and if your opinion like i love PoE you are the enemy. I play on xbox where the player base is small as it is, i can't killed a blighted descendant by myself, just tried twice on venus and failed where normally i can do it just fine, if there were others.

Well honestly if I'm paying o to 40$ worth of extra game content I'm expecting it to be good not a decent raid, a sloppy made pvp mode, an alright Poe mode and some bullshit that should of been added to the game like come on! Bungie gives us scraps of their feast of talent just to milk us for all our money and sadly we have fallen into the trap, but we only do it because we keep on giving a chance for destiny to evolve into a somewhat outstanding game and hoping for them to make the game better but instead we get an unstable mess of pvp called crucible, an excuse to sweat off 50 pounds on the weekend called trials of Osiris, a retarted example of destiny's rng system called poe, a slightly better example of destiny's rng called the raid and last but not f*cking least a crappy revival of destiny's dead content with only two locations and one objective, with little to no excitement and another example of rng, the SRL. Yes they do in fact work hard on this but this is bungie not some steam programmer that works for a small Indie game company, this is the company THAT MADE AND WORKED WITH HALO for crying out loud so that goes out the window I only go on destiny for the weekly events and the part that angers me the most is bungie knows this a they do very little to nothing about this but hype up another event for money in a rinse and repeat way. My point is destiny is dying update by update, patch by patch, and dlc after dlc as the community realizes that destiny will continue to get stale quickly and realize that bungie isn't changing at least not for the best so bungie do you dare to revive and nurish this game back to health or leave to death to collect the ever so little life insurance being the community's money? The choice is yours

Get gud n00b fuk off

The community was expecting more story or an expansion so I understand the slight let down but when they flip out about fan made content being developed and put into the game for FREE and then cry that it's not what they wanted or that "it sucks" or is "terrible" is just ridiculous. Bungie saw the push for the racing idea and decided to implement it into the game and with such a large backlash at it id be shocked if they keep sparrow racing let alone add anything else the community wanted which is a huge shame. I feel people don't understand or get the greater picture this is telling us, while only the live team is giving us content right now they are listening and willing to put our ideas into the game right now and that's huge! With 9 months till year three that's tons of development time for little quality of life improvements such as sparrow racing. People are too hung up about the next big thing to look at all the little benefits.
-
You are right in every aspect my fine sir people really don't think how much hard work goes in this great game
-
Aye i agree
-
-
I know the feeling. The worst aspect of this game is the horrendous amount of toxic in the players. First time in KF, got kicked immediately for not having the ghost shell. No debate, no "we can help", nothing. Just people looking for the easy win.
-
They made it sound like something really big was coming out and when I heard sparrow racing I was like wtf did I just hear this. They should have released a new dlc they -blam!- up all the time they keep nerfing guns and making it worse for those who are naturally good at the game. Honestly don't hype something if it's going to be pathetic as sparrow racing how does that even tie to the story line game is a joke.

1v1 maps similar to trials
-
#getofftheD 1st dance moves, 2nd sparrows, its going to work itself right into more than cosmetic items.
-
Bungie talked about sparrow racing since day one release. Now you need to pay real money to get rewards from it?! Keep choking on that bungie chode.
-
Nicely put.
-
I absolutely agree with you:)

Изменено (Revive Me Pls): 12/8/2015 9:04:43 AMI fully agree with you that Bungie do their level best to listen to us as a user community and try to deliver what we are asking for - after all, we are their customers. I haven't posted anything negative in the posts, (and this is my own personal taste), but I for one would not have invested all the hefty money and resources into placing a mini racing game into what is essentially a fps game for three weeks. Yes yes, I'll be racing like crazy later today and shouting at my screen like a madman with all the rest of you. But ...I would have liked to have seen some "enhancements" as well in the 2.1 release. IMHO. Message in short "Keep up the good work Bungie!" I love your product! But don't try to become a "Need for Speed" at zero gravity please.

Agree good post.
