Hello bungie
I recently started playing destiny again and I'm disappointed not in the gameplay or the new DLCs (haven't played since house of wolves) the only complaint I have is right before I stepped away from the game I spent the time to get to rank 5 in iron banner just to get the assault rifle and now tht I've started playing again it's completely useless is there any way we can get an update to be able to ascend guns and armor from year one to year 3 status u told us we would have a story for every piece of gear we had and that was the one gun I wanted to take with me on my ten year journey to become legend. Thank you for your time and I hope you really look into this.
Should we be able to ascend year 1 weapons and armor to year 3 stats?
Yes.
No.

Never going to happen. Year 1 raid primary weapons had elemental damage to them. Bungie said we are going away with elemental primaries. This will never happen.

The mistake that Bungie made is nerfing and nerfing and nerfing and nerfing and never buff basically they nerfed primaries one by one first auto rifles then fusions then pulse rifles (mid and slow rate of fire) then hand cannons then shotguns then more hand cannons then fast firing scouts that is a problem not mentioning ghost bullets in hand cannons that is a different and game breaking problem that needs to be fixed.

You should have stopped at house of wolves......it's been all downhill since then starting with that piece of crap April update...
-
LMAO.....wow....you are very new to destiny. That will never happen. You might be able to earn them again but never infuse.

As much as I'd love to use my Fatebringer in relevant content again, there's 2 isuues that will prevent it from happening. 1) Bungie has decided it would like to phase out elemental primaries except for the Zhalo Supercell. They did it to open up the range of primaries being used in PvE, and in my personal experience it has. I used to only use Fatebringer, Vision of Confluence for solar burn weeks, and Word of Crota for void burn weeks. Now I use a bunch of different weapons like thr Hung Jury, Keystone 01, Chaos Dogma, Red Death, Bad Juju, Eyesluna, and others. Still, I wish there was a way we could assign elements to these weapons to have the increased diversity and elements at the same time. 2) Black Hammer got updated into an exotic called Black Spindle. If the Hammer comes back then the Spindle is useless because it would waste an exotic slot.

lol we should expect for for thorn nobody wants that to come back... wait... what?
-
This will never happen because then people would be able to ascend VOG and TDB elemental primaries.
-
They aren't making anything to upgrade Y1 to Y3, specially since it's the last year for this version of the game so there's no need to even bother. Also Ascension can still be used in regular Crucible, and really you are better off just getting a new AR anyway, if for Crucible try to get a high rate of fire one, or well pretty much any primary with high rate, low impact is good now. Oh and a Matador or Party Crasher.

Especially with Variks giving out Etheric light lately. It would be nice the be able to revive something from year one.
-
Bumpidee!

You should change it or make it a poll
-
It's useless because you are so low light, iron banner has light level enabled.
-
Yes we should. We earned that gear. It's our choice to use it or not use it and that decision should always remain with the gamer.
-
While it's a nice dream, that's all it is. I know you've been gone a bit, but we left that "keep everything for ten years" thing in the rear view a long time ago. Somethings should have stayed and have, but other things haven't. Cost of having a "living" game.

I'm for it, legandaries anyway, mumur would be nice.

It would be cool to ascend year 1 weapons. I really want to use Corrective Measure in all game modes, that gun is pretty fun. But I don't think it'll happen. There were a lot of overpowered weapons in yr1 like the pocket infinity (which I use in normal crucible from time to time).
