I bought legendary edition (which unlocked season pass) but can’t play battleground
I bought the legendary edition on steam a couple days ago and it unlocked the season pass premium items on the season pass (in blue) which I did not have access to before. I now try to play battle grounds behemoth on Nessus and the game says I need to purchase the season pass and directs me to the deluxe edition of beyond light in the steam store. I already own the dlc and it appears that the season pass was unlocked, do I need to pay another $35 on top of the almost $100 I already spent to own something I already own?
(Also I can’t seem to get the “decrypting darkness” quest from the helm, it just doesn’t show up in the umbral decoder, any ideas?)

See now where you went wrong was giving bungie money. They don't deserve it, they will only screw you over then take away what you have already paid for.

Pretty sure its the 'deluxe' edition that unlocks all of the previous seasons. It would seem that Legendary edition unlocks the 'Expansions' but +1 season for Beyond Light 'expansion', i think that +1 may be the current season only. Battleground was the previous season. Unfortunately my friend has the same issue.

You only get the current season with the Legendary edition, you need the Deluxe version for the past season, If you can even access it as Bungie takes away paid content as they please. Sorry that you spent so much money and still can't play what you want. My advice is see if you can still get a refund from Steam and only play the free to play content. Bungie is just going to take away any content you pay for sooner or later.
