As a New Light who just started playing a little over 2 months ago, I have to say the progression from New Light to Raid-prepared is exceedingly frustrating. My experience has been after clearing expansion campaigns, and even after getting to max Light, the path from Nightfall Strikes > endgame content isn't entirely clear. I feel that without use of external resources, guides, and hours of YouTube videos it is rather arduous and it's rather frustrating to have the supposedly best content in the game (Raids and Dungeons) be so inaccessable. I don't know if I'm just too new and trying to rush things, but I'm really up against a wall trying to break in to more difficult content.

Изменено (Demoniser): 4/24/2024 3:50:50 PMYou're too new and trying to rush things... And Raids and Dungeons aren't hard. Id say GMs are the hardest.

Изменено (Demoniser): 4/24/2024 3:52:31 PMYou have to build up to things like GMs etc. It's not just having the right weapons, armour, stats etc. Plus build and build synergies. There's also tactics, behaviours and learning spawn points as well. Other wise you'll just get one shot in the first room and booted from the fireteam.

Just find a good clan my dude. There are a lot catered to helping you. Getting into a raid 2 months in sound be easy regardless of your weapons. Any good sherpa players or team don't need everyone on meta loadouts.
-
What exactly are you trying to do? Which raids to grind? Or dungeons? Certain weapons? Exotics? What are your loadouts? What's your stat distribution? Where are you getting your armor? Are you opening orbs in the helm for high stat(60+ preferably 65+ for me)?

It’s by design. It’s so bad that players will actually tell you to go watch a video before attempting the end game activity.

Изменено (Zodleon): 4/23/2024 1:33:16 AMFor dungeons, start with shattered throne. its mechanics are still solid while the combat is now on the easier side. And raids, your best starting point is gonna be root of nightmares, it's the easiest raid and will help get your feet wet. Try to learn jobs, it'll help confidence and get you in the mental state for what raids are asking from you The hard thing about pve endgame is that you have to rely on other ppl to be able to do it, and being able to do it yourself. Unfortunately, you'll either need a sherpa for raids or to look up a guide unless you have 5 other ppl looking to figure it out on the go (which can be a multi hour process). Dungeons are easier to just play and figure out with 1 or 2 friends. We always do the first run blind. Whether you're rushing it too fast really depends on you, some ppl just aren't built for dungeons abd raids without being carried while others pick it up pretty easily. I did my first raid a week after starting, so it can definitely be done.

Raids, yeah, they are very different from anything in this game since if you screw up mechanics it's a fail, but dungeons always been pretty easy, only ghosts of the deep is kinda annoying
-
You're 1823. You can do any raid in the game.

Like comment and subscribe and I’ll help you 😉

No ?! The game isn’t going to hand hold you every strep of the way the game is at it’s easiest it ever been If you find that annoying stop playing or go learn the mechanics it’s trial and error or you go watch a YouTube video about it from people who’s already done the leg work If your trying to break into endgame contest and find it frustrating that you have to put I work to learn something then this game isn’t for you you don’t need a bright red marker to show you what you have to do

Watch Datto. He has a few videos on good raid dps, as well as extremely well put guides for every raid and dungeon. From there, load into an lfg, and just try your best. Most people are willing to teach as long as you have an idea of what you’re doing (from the videos) or you’re willing to try. You should also work on two things after getting the mechanics down, which are DPS and optimization: You should find yourself a good rocket launcher. I recommend crafting Apex Predator using Riven’s wishes. A good linear fusion will also do wonders, but most of them require some raid completions to craft or get a good roll. You should run exotics that are fun, but viable. I notice you’re using Ex Diris and Mothkeeper Wraps. This is a good trash ad clear build, but not one for high dps or higher level ad clear. I’d reccomend messing around with different exotics, and try to use an exotic primary. I say this because exotic primaries have consistent uptime and good perks (sunshot, quicksilver storm, etc) and you should not waste an exotic slot on a heavy or special weapon unless your build requires it.

This has been a problem with d2 for sometime now . Options you have are . pay a Sherpa or play with a Sherpa that will most likely stream your gameplay for views to boost there channel if it's for free .pay for a Carry . Feel forced to watch a streamer on how to play a game or do certain content because d2 devs make it that way also certain players will have a go at you for not watching yt tutorials like it's mandatory or something .go in blind an have a bunch of toxic players boot you for not kwtd or tell you to get good an watch more yt vids .keep struggling until your able to get 5 more people that have time to play at the same time as you everytime you play or find players that play 24/7 .come to the reality that this game is designed round having to get others addicted to play with so you have reliable players to do endgame content with or your kinda screwed .realise you payed alot of money to not really access over the half the content you paid for especially if your a solo player Best of luck guardian 👍

very true. Have suffered the same probs. One of the clans that puns the word Kinderguardians - there are several variations of it geared toward new lights - helped me a lot. BUt u def need to do a lot of research too.
