I just cannot be bothered logging on that much these days. I do not hate Bungie and have played Destiny for thousands of hours and loved it for most of the time, but there just too many niggles that should not be in a game that is ten years old.
Each player will have their own pet hates, but these are mine for what they are worth.
No controllable save points. Real life often intrudes and you have to leave unexpectedly and not been able to save your progress is very frustrating, especially when you are not that good a player and getting to a particular can take ages.
Optional matching for everything. Players who use this option have to acknowledge before use that game play may not be optimal. Players who do not want to participate are excluded from the player pool who do. This way everyone gets to play how they want.
Full crafting on all weapons. Get rid of that dependence on the Stingy RNG god to get decent weapons.
It would be nice to hear from other players what their pet gripes are. If Bungie does not get the feedback the game will continue to die.
Good gaming to all.

There's no way you didn't know what you were doing with that title.

Изменено (ACROCANTHUS): 1/24/2025 6:42:24 PMI misread the title. I get what it means but holy cow is that jarring to see.

For those who don't know "niggle" is a common noun used in the UK meaning "a trifling doubt, objection, or complaint" basically just a minor inconvenience. As I said a commonly used word in the UK, don't jump to conclu... Welp, never mind.

Изменено (Milk): 1/25/2025 12:15:30 AMThere was definitely a synonym you could've used to get your point across.
-
You’re damn right there is.
-
Bungie specializes in niggles unfortunately. These days everything just feels like an inconvenience or an annoyance.

A niggle is a minor annoyance, discomfort, or concern that bothers you in a small way, often persistently. It can refer to a slight physical discomfort (like a mild ache or pain) or a mental irritation (such as a nagging doubt or worry). For example: • “I have a niggle in my back from sitting too long.” • “There’s a niggle in my mind about whether I locked the door.”

Look at all this social conditioning. Tsk tsk 🤡🌎

Unfortunately, the conversation in this thread is largely going to revolve around your use of a completely innocent word that around two thirds of the English speaking world understand isn't what the professionally offended minority think it does... That being said, 'The Death of a Thousand Cuts' (which is the phrase I'd have used to avoid the above conversation) is very much the state of play when it comes to Destiny 2 these days. Bungie consistently show adherence to game design and practises which were outdated even before the release of Destiny 1, and yet steadfastly refuse to change despite what either the players or the numbers tell them

Изменено (Kiro - 13): 1/24/2025 4:00:02 PMinteresting choice of words.

Sir , you can't say that in public.
-
I read that title as something completely different and don't be surprised if a ninja or mod does as well.
-
I both understand that the word you used has an actual meaning that fits and also think that you chose that particular word very specifically and should not be surprised when mods inevitably take action on the post.

Hopefully, they'll have the foresight to implement some type of prerequisite for owning the game or receiving updates. It's obvious that before some random can even think about purchasing a DLC, they should prove their worth by flawlessly 2-manning a raid. And if they want the latest update? They better be able to solo Trials of Osiris without breaking a sweat. I firmly believe that these are the only ways to weed out the random casuals who do nothing but whine about every little change. It's high time the game was left to those who truly deserve it.

Every weapon in the game being craftable is not what you want. Do you know how many seasonal activities you would need to do to get enough alloys to enhance all of those perks? If you tried crafting every single gun in the game you wouldn't even have enough materials to do it. Why would you want guns that you can get multiple copies of very quickly craftable? You wouldn't have a reason to even play the game anymore. Also the game already has checkpoints.
