If so, how did you deal with it?
I've kind of been fired. When I was working for a company named Allen Properties, I started as an intern and got a summer job out of it. With a few months under my belt there, I bought a car. Note that before I did so I asked my boss if my job was secure, and he said he didn't see why not, so I went ahead and replaced my truck.
A little over a month after that, he sat me down and said, "Well, we don't have room in our winter budget for your job."
-_-
So it wasn't really a firing, though I may know what led to it.

Yeah, first job. Because I didn't seem to care about it and was a slouch and took my sweet ass time. They were right, I hated that job and the people I worked with from day one, I would have quit earlier but people pushed to stick with it. Last time I listen to those wankers.

Yup. I was once fired when my boss found out that I carried ( Legally with a CHP ) There was nothing in my employment contract ( or signs on the building ) that said weapons were prohibited. Sued his balls off and got a nice sum of money from him.

Nope. And it seems that in your OP, you were laid off

Wow, didn't realize you could circumvent the main tags. Lol, no wonder I couldn't find this anywhere.

No, but I quit my job at the helium factory. I refuse to be spoken to in that tone of voice.
