When I first wrote a post on here, I joked about how bungie's idea for a gift was pretty bad and how destiny's "fanboys" defended it. When the post went up I almost immediately was met with a negative response and sure enough here came the destiny's legion of fans to defend bungie's decision on the gift, and after I read comment after comment ,not just on my post but on other forums too, I couldn't find a reasonable explanation as to why the gift was justified. Most of the defense consisted of "we don't even deserve a gift." Or "they didn't have to give us anything." And then I thought "OF COURSE THEY HAVE TO GIVE YOU SOMETHING!" Many people want to forget the fact that bungie decided to release destiny as a full 60$ dollar game, and then release 2 separate 20$ expansion packs and then a separate 40$ expansion pack, making you waste 120$ and then in the end release it all together for the regular price of 60$. And yes, you could argue that "oh, you don't have to buy the expansion packs." But if you don't then 80% of your destiny experience will be locked behind a paywall. And the reason I am so mad is that it literally does not cost them a single dime to give you something like an exotic in the game. And also the fact that people defend this decision like if they owe their lives to bungie. In the end it just upsets me that people can be so sheep minded.

Also when you said it wouldn't cost BUNGIE a dime to give you an exotic, you are supposed to earn it not beg for it.

Wondering if you were the kid screaming at his mom because he didn't get the toy he wanted for Christmas too...are you mad the grocery store didn't send you a present too? I mean you have to keep going back and buying new food every week. How many other business are you mad at that didn't give you a present? That's the thing about presents...they aren't a requirement and you don't get to complain about what they are. Just more entitled people popping up daily. If this is really how you look at life,I recommend filling up the valium scrip now. Life is gonna be really hard for you.

$60 dollars is the right amount for a game like this and if u have enough complaints about it that you write that much about how crappy 15 motes and strange coins is for a Christmas gift then this isn't the game for you. And besides the gift was really for low lvl players who had just gotten the game for Christmas and besides at your light lvl it would probably help. And I'm actually glad that was the gift we got bc I bought toc and got twilight garrison.

Bungie does or does not owe anything etc etc, BUT they shouldn't post things up to entice players who started letting the game go to entice them to log on and "welcome back" into the game, I was one of those players, I logged on to see what it was and if it was a cool gun or something, play for awhile. But as soon as I saw it was -blam!-ing coins and shit, I logged off and haven't been back. No more play-bait from you bungie
-
You people act like it's only bungie that cuts content. Look at literally every call of duty. All the shit is pre planned before the game even comes out. Look at literally every non-sports EA game. Like holy shit, we're all quite aware of the annoyance of pay walls but don't pin it all on bungie and destiny like they're the only devs to do it

So you are mad you got something for Free? When your whole argument is that you had to pay money to play the full game experience? Am I missing something here?

I agree dude.
