Distress Signal - 12
European Dead Zone.
"Aleya, I need help," a Guardian cried out, attempting their best to fight off multiple Fallen Captains. "I need help, quickly!"
"H-Hold on! I'm setting up a distress signal to the T-" Aleya was panicking, trying to set down the beacon.
"Aleya, there is no time," another Guardian yelled, helping out their other Fireteam member. "Set it up, contact Zavala, and help us!"
"Okay, okay! Calm down!" Aleya yelled back, linking the beacon to her comm link. "I'm linked, I'm coming to help now. Zavala, come in Zavala," she tapped into the Tower's signal.
"G<kzzt>G... Guardian," Zavala went through the comm link. "What's <kzzt> going on out there?"
Aleya hid behind cover, checking her rifle's magazine. She panted, taking a peek of the battle.
"Zavala," Aleya took a deep breath, sitting behind her cover, "we need help. This is a distress signal, send help. Unknown Fallen H-"
"AGGH," one of the Guardians screamed in pain. Aleya took another peek to see one of her Fireteam members stabbed through the chest with a Shock Blade. They shot the Captain, killing it, and sitting down on a wall.
"GUARDIAN, WHAT IS GOING ON," Zavala questioned Aleya aggressively, slamming his fist on the Vanguard's table.
"U-U-Unknown Fallen House, outnumbered, SEND HELP!" Aleya yelled back to Zavala, jumping over her cover. She ran to the wounded Guardian, checking on their wounds. "Heaven, are you alright? A rhetorical question, stupid..."
"N-" Heaven coughed, taking off her helmet. "No, no I'm... *cough* not... Wher- Where's my Ghost," her skin turned pale with every second. "N.. No... Is he dead?"
Aleya nodded slowly, confirming Heaven's question. "They took it, and crushed it..." Aleya choked back her tears, "Please stay with me..."
"I don't think... I can't..." Heaven coughed up blood, her eyelids getting heavy. Aleya looked back to look at the other Guardian, still holding up against 5 Fallen Captains. She turned her attention back to Heaven, her head getting limp by the second. She opened her mouth and let out her final breath.
"I always counted on you..."
"No... No, no, no, NO, NO, NO!" Aleya frantically looked for Heaven's pulse with tears in her eyes. "NO, PLEASE DON'T DIE! Please... Don't," she cried and cried, holding Heaven's wrist to her helmeted head.
"Aleya, I need some help over here," the other Fireteam Member called out, panting heavily. "Like really bad. I can't take these guys on myself..."
Aleya stood up, flames in her eyes and hands. Shortly after, Aleya's body ignited with solar. She began to charge at the Captains, hate fueled her.
"Dennis, get these guys out of here," another Guardian called out to his team mate as he threw a smoke bomb at the ground disorienting Aleya. "I'll see what I can do about the really wounded one."
"On it," the one named Dennis jumped off his sparrow, charging into the battle, his fists charged with Arc energy. He leapt forward, slamming the ground, blinding the Aleya and the other Guardian...

"So, these are the ones that sent the distress signal," a Guardian questioned, looking over Aleya's body.
"W-Where am I-I?" Aleya asked, bolting upright she started to panic. "WHERE IS SHE?! WHERE'S HEAVEN? WHO... Who are you people... . . ."
"Woah, woah... Hey, calm down..." Dennis comforted the panicked Warlock. "It may take a while to explain," Dennis chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Hey didn't Gizmo help too," another Guardian asked. "You can't possibly hog all the credit," the Guardian crossed their arms.
"Yeah at Rush and a yes to Emilia," Dennis replied, looking back at Aleya. "Gizmo is out right now, however..."

"Anyways, there was distress signal on Earth. I was sent by Commander Zavala to check it out and help the troubled Guardians. And this jib-jab happened and yeah," Dennis tried to smile behind his metal frame.
"Where is she..." Aleya quietly whimpered in her hospital bed, rocking back and forth. Her team mate, her friend, died. She couldn't bear the fact that her friend died. "You," Aleya pointed at Dennis. "Please tell me where my friend is..."
"Which one? We recovered three of you guys, but one was cold, like she was dead," Dennis sighed, crossing his arms, looking behind his back to see Emilia. "I get it now," he mumbled under his breath.
"The other one... Where is the other one," Aleya asked briskly, looking around frantically.
"He left, a while back," Dennis replied, patting Aleya on the back. "He's fine... But for the other one. Her Ghost was found crushed by another one of us. Sorry that we couldn't get there sooner."
Aleya looked at Dennis, tears in her eyes once again. Her face displayed sadness, but hatred at the same time.
"Seems like you're alone. Lost. Afraid," Rush stood up from his chair, brushing off his shirt. "Now tell me what happened," he asked, a serious tone in his voice.
"I-It's a long story... We were patrolling somewhere in Europe. It was all fine, just picking up beacon signals here and there. A-And this Captain just appeared out of the blue, ready for combat... We killed him off, but there were more and more, i-it just never stopp--"
"You said 'Unknown Fallen House,' didn't you," Emilia had her interest piqued. "Tell me their colors, and what their banner looked like."
"I-It was a brown-ish stone armor... They had no banner on them, it was just a blank, brown cloak."
"Stone," Emilia gritted her teeth. "Thank you, ah... Name?"
"Aleya."
"Thank you, Aleya," Emilia kindly said, and walked out of the room.
Aleya looked at the door and back to her bed sheets.
"I-I've lost a Fireteam," she tried to hold her tears in, but she couldn't. Her tears fell onto the bedsheets, rapidly. She wiped her eyes, and looked back to Dennis. "Please tell me you have anything I can keep to remember Heaven by?"
Dennis nodded and summoned his Ghost, Codex. Codex bobbed his shell once, transmatting a piece of cloth onto Aleya's lap.
"C'mon Dennis, Vanguard needs us at briefing," Rush said, walking out of the door. Dennis waved goodbye to Aleya and walked out of the door catching up to Rush.
Aleya sat motionless and stared at the piece of cloth on her lap. She smiled warmly, grabbing the cloth and holding it up to her face.
"I'll miss you..." Aleya said quietly.
