Sad for me, but it took until this triple Valor event for me to realize how hard Bungie is pushing the friendship endgame. If you aren't running a stack (or are a fantastic solo pvp-er, which I am manifestly not) you shouldn't bother to grind unless you're super happy about 30 points for a loss.
Curb stomped by teams, spawning into a match that's already so far gone you get curb stomped by supers and heavy constantly, etc. Impossible (for me) to keep a streak alive solo.
The fun is real (missing). I wish I didn't care, and have no idea why I keep beating my head against the wall.
#PartOfTheProblem
Edit: also, cramped maps and people who just farm with The Colony... seriously, Bungie - did you playtest any of this nonsense?
Hey I feel ya. I 99% of the time queue solo. Ive hit my glory rank one in competitive (not fun solo) and im about to reset my valour rank for the second time.
It can be done. I am not a good pvp player. I manage a 1.5 KDA bit I hang in there. I wanted the exotic ghost and the crucible chest piece. I almost have them both.
At the end of it, Im a little bit better for it. It was/is a grind but for me its worth it. If you feel the rewards you are chasing are worth it too then grind on!!
