Hey Bungie, Samwise here with some feedback on crucible. First up is the shotgun issue. As Destiny 2 stands currently shotguns are used more than ANY other type of special weapon in the crucible, Why? because why wouldn't you run a one hit weapon that gains ammo back as soon as you get a kill? If i am running a sniper for example I cant really pick up ammo immediately after a kill and continue using it, i have to wait and get a kill another way, shotgun users can immediately regain ammo on kill which makes other special weapons pretty useless. In Destiny 1, the ammo economy was better because of special ammo crates, ANYONE could pick up ammo, not just shotgun users and make awesome plays. Snipers also have way too much flinch to even be useful and require far more skill as a result. If you are going to keep the ammo economy as is, (no special crates) then we need more spawn ammo for the other special weapons for balancing purposes. Second, Pulse rifles, come on guys... why are we back to a pulse meta again, I dont understand why Scout Rifles and Auto Rifles are just not competing anymore, i honestly dont know what to say here but please, ENOUGH with the pulse meta, been this way almost since the games release. I LOVE THIS GAME, been a loyal fan since the beta of D1 but there has got to be some balancing.
I don't mind Pulses, but I do mind Shotguns.
• Chaperone needs a Range nerf, no doubt about it.
• All Shotguns should spawn with 1 shot instead of two.
• Remove pellet magnetism AKA Aim Assist.
Easiest fix to this.
You only spawn with special ammo on the first spawn.
Every other spawn = 0 energy ammo.
If you get any kinetic/energy/power/ability kill you get 1 special ammo added to reserves +1 for every scavenger perk you have.
That way you cant shotgun cheese your way to a win....and fusions snipers get an indirect buff because they dont need to run to ammo boxes.
