Please for the love of god do not make this the standard game mode for trials. It’s -blam!-.
Why are bungie so desperate to ruin their own game?
Awful, awful decision.

I didn’t mind it because I usually play double primary, but as a solo player, it was awful because people were constantly leaving. This shows the majority didn’t like it and made it not fun. Why does bungie make changes nobody is asking for and ignoring the calls for more close combat maps that are already created and owned by Bungie from D1 development? This continues to be a head scratcher. I'm an MBA (one of many) and can’t help notice basic principles of market research and analysis are being disregarded. You knuckleheads don’t even have to guess what the community wants and act like it’s so complicated. Get new leadership who listens and delivers or lose followers and gamers. This was a very disappointing direction and made me feel like I need a shower.

Disagree. Fantastic mode should be made permanent. I particularly enjoy the tears when crutches are taken away 😂

Idk why they still decided to go with it. Every specials except glaives and heavy grenade launchers all have more kills than an entire primary class (Scouts). That is ridiculous and just how unbalanced checkmate is. Weapons that have no ammo to start off with have more kills than an infinite ammo weapon…

Yup, I grinded passages of wealth last week but I didn't even hop into Trials this time Don't get me wrong I'm all about primary engagement, and I loved the 2 primary system, but I hate how checkmate messes with the TTK and the ability rates Getting special ammo is also very "artificial" with that big meter in the middle of the screen If they just made it a modifier that forced you to use 2 primaries and that's it I would play it more

"Oh no, i can't spam my broken abilities 24/7 i have to actually aim now with weapons, oh no that cant happen" Literally D2 players in a nutshell. Abusing broken builds with ability spam to the max and think they are good. You take some ability regen and super gen from them and they cry out loud that they have to use their guns to win games now. Oh boy, i've lost every bit of respect for this games community.

Agree. Seems like the only intent of Checkmate was to appease the Scrim crowd, which I'm fine with. Just don't put it in an actual game mode. However, you CANNOT balance two sandboxes with the same weapons. Weapons are designed and balanced for the regular PVP sandbox, so when you start messing with it, you get unbalanced crap like we have in Checkmate. I don't care as much about the ability cooldowns. That changes the meta a bit, but it's not necessarily a bad thing. Same with special. Not bad, just different.

由A_mo編輯: 12/23/2023 3:34:20 PMQuickplay appears to suffer from some real population related issues during trials. Having that and checkmate/control and all the other playlists all going at the same time probably doesn't help trials either. Especially with some of these modes like Supremacy and Rift during Trials. People will bounce really quick if there's pendulum swings to the match then there's no one left to fill in. So during the weekends there might be an opportunity to experiment with some population "forcing." Pretty much everyone seems to agree the playlists are too much for this number of players and its set up a little strange overall.

Care to specify why the mode is bad? I actually really enjoyed it and felt that games were more balanced, as opposed as just having people rushing with shotguns or sniping you from all the way back.
