Yet again, I played another session of pvp with my Le Monarque and get outgunned most of the time, even this exotic bow feels weak. I've also used lethophobia and it feels even worse, s once it's slower.
With le Monarque, it feels like the damage done it's not enough for a semi competitive time to kill, neither by itself or with a quickdraw primary.
I like playing bows, but with the latest changes, I feel at a disadvantage against other weapons that I used to be able to compete against.
They need a buff in their overall base damage for pvp. Exotics and legendaries.

At this point they need a complete rework bringing them in line with other primaries. Otherwise you'll never hear the end of people -blam!- about how op they are. Hilarious given the fact bows have never been meta. And yet have seen the most egregious nerf ever

Bows used to be my fav pvp and pve weapons... now they are meh in pve, total trash in pvp.

... We just left an 8 month stretch where bow swapping was the meta. Let's not go back to that. Hard pass

Nothing better than Bow users crying. It makes my day. I never thought I'd see the day Bungie nuked bows.

i love to crap on people who use bows. especially the le monarque. that weapon takes no skill. which is good since most of the turds using it don't have any skill.

They deal sniper body shot levels of damage. Just hit your crits and play a “peak shoot” style of play.

Bungie’s nerf to bows was really broad for no reason. Outside of bow-swapping (which needed changes), only 2 bows ever reached high usage rates. Wish-Ender and Le Mon. Both of those needed changes, but Bungie instead nerfed all bows… When combined with the health changes, that left most bows (especially legendaries) feeling terrible.

Sure bows were considered as an issue but that's an overtuning, everything else can stay but 15% damage nerf with the overall health increase is a huge nerf, making bows almost useless

The math change on bows was exactly correct - 100% spot on. They're in the crowded middie ground with no clear advantage where they belong. Prior to the new sandbox you saw tons of "bows are high skill" comments and threads. There's only one answer why they've vanished. Bows detracted from this pvp's top shelf gunplay - it's single best attribute. Bow users can have have it all back if they're converted to special ammo economy. That's reasonable. I've never seen a well reasoned argument in favor of the old sandbox bow status.....because there isn't a sound one to be found. Bow usees know this.

Sorry, this weapon type was never meta with massive usage rates. But it inconveniences HC, shotgun, and sniper users. So it needs to be a dumpster fire.

Bows are strong at range against primaries and weak to snipers. With fewer snipers and more ranged primary battles, bows are inherently stronger. They were nerfed in consideration of this fact.
