To get it out of the way:
Yes, I'm a fan of the band. And no, I don't particularly care if they're the "worstest in the world" or any other stuff that you might think cool to say
Anywho, Nickelback released a new single today called "Edge of a Revolution". I have linked it above. What do you think of it?
I think it's... okay. I much prefer their ballad type pop rock songs more than this style I guess (like this one). But at the very least it's nice to see they're not just singing about sex, drugs and alcohol again. They have a more pop styled track coming out on the 22nd of September so that might turn out okay
Discuss the song and / or band. Just try keep drive-by comments to a minimum pleasee
But at the very least it's nice to see they're not just singing about sex, drugs and alcohol again.
Yeah, that's always nice. The song isn't that bad, I guess. I dunno, though, it doesn't sound that different from their newer stuff.

They are not that bad and apparently the beginning of this mainly was from some comic and it just spiraled out of there. Honestly they have good songs, but this one feels forced, i would personally love more allegory, it feels literal in lyrical wise. Otherwise the song feels good and comes close to some of their old work. It just does not have the same feel as other serious songs about modern events like, Fortunate One, Rise Against has a couple decent ones. Their style just for some reason does not fit with this modern activism feel.
